Total newb questions here. I’m currently level 37 and have put things up for sale in the trading post maybe five times. The thing is, I have never received any notification for them either selling or timing out. Also, it seems like the fees are really high so I simply never bother. How does notifications work in New World since there is no mailbox? I don’t even know which region I sold things in.
So ever since start I simply salvage everything I find because I felt that the TP isn’t working – greys, greens, blues… everything is salvaged.
Fees are high because sell orders default to a 14 day listing. I’d never recommend listing for 14 days, select the dropdown and pick 1, 3 or 7 days instead. Annoyingly, you have to do this every time you list because I’ve not seen any way of changing the default.
If something sells or expires while you’re in-game, you get a notification on-screen. The cash goes straight to your gold carried, no need to collect. Expired items go to your storage in the settlement you listed them at. You can go to the trading post in any town and see your active and expired orders across all settlements.
