My mining skill aptitude seems to be going up again. But my skinning aptitude still doesn’t go up despite repeatedly skinning animals in various levels and receiving XP per skinning activity.

I am having the same issue with skinning, stopped right before the first aptitude mark and isn’t going anywhere. Server nidavellir, name kashnia,

Fixed! I went into an expedition got like three aptitude noticed but no lvl increase and next thing I skimmed on level leveled me up.

Update’ skinning froze again, tried expedition and did not unfreeze so not a reliable fix T.T

Still an issue for me as well.

II am having this issue with my smelting. It’s been stuck for a while mid way to 1st bar and doesn’t move no matter how much I smelt.

My tracking and skinning moved - it seems that the problem is that the amount of XP needed for skinning and tracking to get 1 aptitude move is significantly higher than for my mining skill or other trade skills it seems. So you can keep skinning animals and it appears that it isnt moving at all. But in reality, it is moving very very slowly that it isnt noticeable at all unless you keep skinning the highest tier animals only

Same with me for skinning. I hit the first aptitude and stopped. I’ve since gotten another chest, but it still shows as only one, and I had a one-star chest to accompany it. Also, as said prior, the skinning experience is extremely high to get to the next level.

same for me on skinning. stuck at the first aptitude marker, no reward no further progress.

Mine finally moved yesterday. The weird thing is, I’ve killed high point things and no movement. Then yesterday, I killed higher things (the lions in Edenwood). I noticed it move for the first time in a while. I left aand went to Everfall and suddenly, the level 15 wolves were giving small movements and gain. I have no idea why but knowing this might help figure out the bug.

Seeing the same thing. Hit 200 skinning today in Mourningdale; continued to skin many bison there for >1k xp per, but there’s no movement towards aptitude lvl 1.
