5g+ on average while the material cost is half of it.
Specially with OPR the consumption of those went sky high, everyone is chugging pots non-stop and those PvP players have no time to go out and farm azoth water and pick flowers all day long. They drop the gold from the OPR reward straight into consumables so they can win some more OPR
Your server is either dead or so overfarmed that literally the entire population of the server does nothing outside of farming everything that they can get their hands on.
Every trade skill out there is profitable if you do it right. And if you combine that with the lazyness of the MMO population, you get rich by just sitting in the town, buying things and converting them to gold within minutes.
Wrong, every trade skill offers massive value before 200. 200 and major trophies just allow you to create those specific, godlike rolls that can make someone drop 5-figure gold amounts at you just to have that item.
You forget about consumables - those are consumed in masses and people have to resupply it a lot - and the general population in the MMO is pretty lazy, so no way in hell they will level arcane to 150, go gather a bunch of stuff in the middle of nowhere and supply their own potions. Or go collect motes for days and make honing stones or proficiency boosters on their own.
They were 1.4g friday, considering its been the weekend with more people playing and buying up the cheap ones but there are hundreds listed for 2.5g at this moment. Plus the listing fee and waiting for them to sell, its not exactly printing money.
When you’re farming 60 mobs they drop them faster than you use them as well.
Yeah if you farm lvl 60+ mobs with a healer, you get tons of them. If you do PvP or run solo, you consume tons of them. Specially in challenging areas with a build that does not include a life staff in your pocket or a pocket healer behind you.
The prices will balance out and even 2.50g is nice when the materials you need are sold to you for below 1g.
there changing it apparently by makiing the grind twice as hard and making hgiher tiers give more XP or something like that atleast the the info that got datamined.
Crafting isn’t worth the time investment and in several more weeks the TP will be flooded with dropped gear that makes anyone who put the time into leveling crafting look and feel stupid.
Agreed. Furniture trade was the nail in the coffin for me. Unreasonable number of mats required to level it, for what? Doesnt unlock any default items of value. I am flat broke. Cant find chest schematics or secret trophy items.
My server is dead, game is boring AF now. Im level 60 with nothing to do and no meaningful way to make money.
Ill check back in perhaps 3-6 months if the game is still running.
So I dont know if your on New world perfect server but I have played on EU hades from day 1.
Nearly every craft (Unless you got there first) sells for either resource cost/or less. so picking the most efficient/cost efficient craft is necessary for lvling up skills.
Infused potions On hades sell for at best 3-4 gold each. Azoth water like many servers is one of the most farmed resource. If you go into reekwater and attempt to farm it. You will find almost every spot camped. it costs around 2.8-2.9 gold to make a infused health potion if you buy the resources. .
I was one of the first ones with arcana in my server where I attempted to sell potions. Even though I made money they helped me fund my other 200’s the price of potions quickly plummeted where majority of peoples cost way less than resource cost due to people grinding up the lvl’s.
Trophies, Trophies on my server are very expensive… For a basic armouring you wont be able to buy armorer’s journal for less than 17k, and the Major resource is around 38-40k. If you read the original post. I said there is no way to make money unless you have maxed out your trophies. For someone who hasn’t maxed out their trophies (Like me) there are fewer crafting opportunities to make money.
Tools and such on our server goes for basically resource price. since they have been absolutely flooded in our trading posts. I have attempted to make money from tools. and currently have made nothing but a loss been almost 2 weeks and no one has purchased them.
Tax. Unforunately sometimes you do not have the liberty to go to a different town for tax. You require a certain lvl crafting bench in order to complete your crafts. This is an example of the tax. Furnishing:
I got my furnishing to 200 using solvents. for furnishing 150-200 I used 50k pure solvent and 20k oil. It cost me over 5k in tax. Just to craft it. when I hovered over the tax in the town it was considered “Moderate” even though my standing was over lvl 70+ with like almost 35-40% tax decrease.
Anyone who says they do not notice tax doesn’t play on a very highpop server. Wars on my server are mostly fueled if a specific faction have tax’s too high.
It’s because luck is handled in an odd way in NW, it’s not really linear. You roll a luck roll when harvesting and if that roll is greater than the value required for a drop then you get it. But things like adderstone have luck values so high you can’t actually get them with no luck, or very small amounts of luck. You need to pile on luck items like full sets of mining gear + trophies + food in order to make them obtainable, and even then you still need to be really lucky when mining. I usually mine a full bag of stone at about 1400 weight and come back with usually at least 1 sometimes 2.
They’re worth about 350 gold each on our trade post, but that’s why…because they are hard to get. There are harder things for sure, but that’s hard enough to give them some value. And if you use one and a 1500g rune of holding you can sell a bag with extra pockets for about 2500 which is a 1k profit.
i think the problem is everyone can level all crafting skills… and too easily…
which then gets followed up with “not enough storage” complaints…
if players had to choose a profession… it might help this mess… because everyone i think runs around thinking they should be able to make anything they want when they want…
Im making a killing with jewelry. (you know other than when they pause the TP with my very expensive listings up without pausing them, thanks AGS) Maybe its your methods that aren’t working?
did your spreadsheet include refining giving bonus materials?
Its actually different in every server, based on what you have access to, for me, high teir leather was the easiest. Regardless, thats a better system, Its more elastic, and you can find more
One where the most efficient exp is decided by market forces and you charachters’ existing skills.
however, They are making it like you prefer its on the PTR right now. higher teir recipes give 2-3 times the exp, and the exp required to level is like 3x as much. This will actually make leveling crafting way worse, but hey they made you happy, now you can compete with everyone for t5 resources, with like 30 nodes on the map.You win
no, thats not a problem. Thats a player choice, The amount of storage people have is adequate, storage is something where people always want more, the more they have
