Trading Post Baron's: What is Your Hot Take?

Nah, BiS will still be expensive. Still trash chances. Numbers have not changed.

Cheaper attribute mods = more rolls = more demand on timeless shards.

The shortage is timeless shards. By faaaaaar Timeless Shards.

Damn! That far down?!

You’re lucky, in El Dorado everything is botted to death.

Does anyone know if the new PTR nodes are a game changer or not? I wanna come back only if I can actually farm stuff.

More supply means cheaper prices. Items gotta sell and 20 BiS items means they demand better be high, but who has 300k to spend? This is the developers direct response to the ridiculous trade post prices. It’s all gonna plummet, watch.

Respawn times are being cut to the same spawn rates as iron nodes. So loops should be possible.

Not enough loops for people, so it’s going to still be bad on high pop server.

I’ll give it a month. Prices are gonna plummet. This spells doom for the market.

It’s more supply of one thing, but that doesn’t solve the supply issue for timeless shards. Which primarily come from Laz and Genesis normals/mutations.

If Gen and Laz mutations aren’t available, timeless drops are much more scarce and higher priced.

Basically nothing’s changed? Damn, this game wants to be a 2nd job or something!

I was always able to farm ori ore on El Dorado by looping a few areas I know timers on. I think if you come back and feel it out, you will find a run that works for you.

I mean there are new nodes. If the price plummets far enough, or people start having a ton of excess you will see less people camp nodes.

It’s all about the gold per hour for ori nodes versus any other kind of resource. Economics. People will likely stop camping ori if there are good quantities available at decent prices.

Ori ore went up as far as 4g per ore, which is 32g per if you wanted to upgrade to ori ingot. Those days are most likely over with this change.

People will adjust their behavior to the fact that they should be able to purchase orichalcum ore without being price gouged to hell and back. Thus opening up nodes for those looking to farm it.

Might see more people do greenwood runs to make charcoal to sell. Given that ori and starmetal will see at least +70k additional Ores generated on the map per server per day (70k being a hypothetical number.)

There should be less of a bottleneck on Ori and Starmetal with the changes.

Here is a potential hot take. I dont think the vials of Azoth are gonna sky rocket in price like people think they will. A lot of people have been hoarding them, myself included.

out of 30 odd different timeless shards only 5 have any value. The rest are worth nothing.

I wish there was a shortage of timeless shards. I have acquired 500-1000 of each with 1g buyorders the last few months.

Ya I dont think azoth skyrockets either. 20 azoth is way too cheap for conversions. To convert my 30k quartz into 6k ironguardsman is only going to take like 2500 vials.

Instead of using vials I was planning to convert my 20 odd thousand by running OPR’s in-between.

I cashed out on all of my crafting components like iron guardsman insignias. I expect a huge dip in price post update.

Yeah I have almost 1k of azoth just from farming stuff

I just keep em for crafting. I remember selling either 60 or 30 pcs for 16k

Pricing on potions and coatings will probably go down a fair amount since you can get bonus items when crafting. I think on the PTR right now it’s 60% on coatings and 30% on potions.

That is not how you make money. It’s better to sell them all now for 340 a pop and buy more later for like 50 a pop.

Is that only for smelting/mining, or other refining/gathering aptitude crates as well?

I try and keep track of these changes by reading the PTR notes. Am I just not seeing it, and/or is there other website that more meticulously tracks these potential upcoming changes?
