Is this working as intended?
When a sell order is filled, both the buyer and the seller pay a transaction tax, the buyer pays a rate discounted by their standing, and the seller pays full rate, undiscounted.
When a buy order is filled, only the seller pays a transaction tax, discounted by their standing.
Seems odd that you would double-tax the sell side, unless the double-taxation is meant as a deterrent, or rather an encouragement to purchase with buy orders.
When filling a Buy order, your not ‘listing’ anything, just completing an already existing order.
And your normally selling it for less then you could get if you posted a sell order.
So you get rewarded by no tax.
Thanks for replying to the post. I appreciate your comment, even though your facts are incorrect. Selling to a buy order costs you transaction tax at the city rate, discounted by a percentage based on your territory standing.
If you sell 1000 Iron Ore to fill a buy order paying .40 per unit, you do NOT receive 400 coin in your wallet, you receive something less than that, depending on the local tax rate and your territory standing. For example given a 5% trading tax rate and a 10% standings discount, you receive 382 coin. Please check for yourself in a similar situation. I’m sure I’m correct.
I dont think the buy order is working correctly ! Players shouldn t have the right to buy to you if you don t ask lower then minimal price ! This is just a kind of exploit mechanic imo ! When you decide to sell 5000 Iron Ore , in order to sell your Iron Ore, the player alone should spend money on the entire stack by itself ! Is it how it s work ?
What s the point to buy in selling tab at Auction House if we can already Buy Order ?
Yeah, double taxing on auction house is something that should never occur. Seller should just pay the listing fee and as it is buyer pays trading fee. If sellers won’t be taxed by both listing and trading fees then ppl will start to place everything on the action house, not only low cost items…
This is meant to combat inflation.
