Transaction failed- In game store

Hi, I am trying to purchase a server transfer, it won’t open the steam window at all. I exit out of the store menu after waiting for two minutes with no joy(no alternate steam window opening) and it says ‘transaction failed’ through the New World UI.

-Yes I have steam overlay enabled in both the options for New World but also the steam.exe

I am sorry to hear you seem to be having issues getting an in-game purchase made. These errors usually happen due to trouble reflecting the trusted status from Steam in New World. Please note that accounts that have not met certain requirements with Steam will have lower purchase limits and will not be able perform certain in-game actions as listed here:

  • Initiating player-to-player trades (requests can still be received)
  • Sending in-game gifts
  • Exchanging Royal Crystals for Gold
  • Sending in-game mail with attachments

In order to make your account trusted you will need to have performed a purchase(s) for at least $5, where sometimes Steam will require a period of 30 days to have passed from the date of the purchase. In some scenarios Steam will also need of you to set up the Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator specifically for this status update to take place.
How to set up Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator.

If you have already complied with all of this, please try the following steps in order to troubleshoot this:

  1. Please verify the integrity of game with the Steam integrity check

  2. Check with Steam as to why the transaction did not complete.

In game Store Issue:

While looking at an over priced item ($50,000 normal is only $2000) the game screen showed purchase pending - as I didn’t touch the buy area I immediately pressed CANCEL. The game took $50,000 out of my account and never delivered the item (which was a Red bed of some sort) on El Dorado TP in Ebonscale. If you check my files, the bed was never delivered, which of course I didn’t buy in the first place. (but the game took my money. Could I please get my $50,000 back please?

I found the item in question, it’s only a schematic of a bed. I clicked cancel before the transaction closed, please help.

I am sorry to hear of this unintended purchase. Unfortunately. New World purchases are nonrefundable, including in-game purchases or purchases made through your Steam Wallet. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Go to Great Cleave or Reekwater to shrine, run out of the shrine and run back in. And try and transfer. If it doesnt work transfer to a different shrine in those 2 locations.

That worked for me yesterday
