In general I don’t mind that there’s a transfer CD, but with the servers auto-locking, it presents a very real problem for anyone who wants to move around characters. Would there be some way to get an idea of when a server is going to lock before it does? Or “lock in” a transfer while on cooldown? I have an alt on Server A and my main on Server B. I’ve ended up playing more on server A and would like to move my alt off (since we can only have one character per server) and my main on to that server.
The problem is, if I moved the alt off, there’s a very good chance server A will auto-lock and I’ll be completely f***ed with both characters stuck on servers that I don’t actually want to be on, unable to play with friends and company. But it feels bad playing an undergeared character when I have one BiS’d out already just rotting on another server, all because the system is forcing me to choose between possibly losing all my friends vs playing on my main.
Is there any way around this, or plans to make the process less risky?
