What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced:
First off, we didn’t make this bug happen intentionally. We all know that the game gold system are temporary suspended to prevent some kind of bug and exploit but we accidentally found another bug that will break the game economy (if this bug wasn’t realized by the devs and other related parties). We were trying to upgrade our city as usual with our treasury money since our last upgrade was completed before we sleep. The exploit works in this way:
If we try to upgrade anything with our company treasury’s money, the gold will not be creditted since the gold system is suspended and there will be an extra same amount refunded into the treasury.
For example : if we chose to upgrade something that would cost 10k ( from our treasury) , our golds are not deducted, but another 10k will be added to the treasury pool. This is tested by us , we did it for 10 minutes to see if the problem persist and we found that this can be repeated indefinitely. We would request for a rollback on gold during the downtime of trade / gold system.
This is tested by : PrometheusM, Inverse and Azreaper.
Lol, so you’ve just seen the dev post saying they’re banning people who are doing this and now you’ve come running pretending you “found” a bug and “tested” it
When servers allow trading again, what ever you do don’t touch the duped gold or hand it out brother. Until they can remove the gold because you might get lads unfairly banned.
yeah for sure . we dont want to make use of any exploits. This is breaking the game economy and we dont want to play with unfair advantage. if this problem continues, what’s the point of getting our trade skill 200 and makes money there? we would just need to dupe more money isnt it.
Yeah we sent out a message to as many companies as we could on Lerna. Because only a few of us knew what was posted on the forums.
Hence why i wasn’t happy to hear them say they would pretty much be swinging the hammer. As i pointed out it will happen accidentally and is why you needed to shut the servers down the moment you were told about it.
Because anyone who owns lands will tell ya this is a daily thing so ofcourse it will happen. If anyone on my server cops the ban hammer i will be annoyed regardless of faction.
Edit : Also still no message in game that would notify companies of this issues and servers still remain up.
yeah the ringod guy is a plain bullshit. He says like we should always be on forum and reading things up. we came only after we found there’s a bug troubling us. He says like we abuse the bugs all the way LOL. I wish they fix this asap, its killing the game.
Ignore it brother, dealt with alot of toxicty and insults on the forums. We do have good players here and alot of us don’t want to see the game die.
At the moment trying to protect companies because of AGS stupidity is a prio 1. No server shutdown while stopping gold transfers without considering the impact it would have was very silly.
Also because we can’t pay upkeep, some unlucky sods are having downgrades…
yeah thanks for the info. we just created account on forum for this post. there were too many posts about different exploits and bugs and we sincerely feels bad about it. hope they fix everything later.
