Hey @Luxendra @Aenwyn, I was talking with some folks last night, a couple from my mutation groups, and my guildmates and figured I share some ideas that were discussed. I think the Turkulon and Easter events could be much better and match the quality of the other amazing events such as the Winter Festival (upcoming and from last year), Summer Medley Fair, and Nightveil Hallow.
Turkulon Event
It’s great to see Turkulon again, however, going off of how the Nightveil Hallow, Summer Medley Fair, and the Winter Festival were done, where you have a quest giver, reputation to build, and then drops available on the vendor after reaching a certain reputation status, I think this could be adapted over to Turkulon event. But who would be the quest giver? Well while playing in the RTA event and level grinding again, I ran into Samuel Worthington Bloodgood III in Weaver’s Fen, the disgraced hunter from a famous family line of hunters. Since he’s trying to re-establish his family name, I think he would be a great choice to be the quest giver to hunt Turkulon, build reputation with the Worthington Hunting Club (example), as he brings hunters together for a common and fun sport to keep the giant turkey menace at bay. Samuel Worthington Bloodgood III fixes his family’s legacy by attracting some of the best hunters in Aeternum, by sharing a common sport.
The reputation grind can also be seasonal, which will unlock seasonal rewards. For example, Fall will have the Turkulon Event rewards that will be similar to the weapon plans from Nightveil Hallow, and armor plans from the Summer Medley Fair, along with some furniture, armor and weapon skins, and emotes. The tokens can be like a Turkey coin. And you will need to collect Turkulon’s feathers as a hand in, for every time you kill him and hand it in to Samuel Worthington for Turkey tokens that can be used to buy stuff from him. The crafting plans can be skinning tools with different elemental attunements as the fixed perk. Food consumables can be a Turkey Leg with +1000 Luck, Turkey Gizzard +33 Stamina for 40 minutes, Turkey Wing +33 Dexterity for 40 minutes, Turkey Breast +33 Focus for 40 minutes, etc.
Easter Event - Corrupted Bunnies
Similar to how the Turkulon idea is portrayed above, this event is the Spring Seasonal event also hosted by Samuel Worthington Bloodgood III. The hand in will be the rabbit’s feet, and the reward will be a bunny coin, which after certain reputation, can be used to purchase things like the corrupted Bunny Chest, consumables like a Cadbury Egg that gives +33 Stamina for 40 minutes, Painted Hard Boiled Eggs +33 Focus for 40 minutes, Rabbit Stew +33 Dexterity for 40 minutes, etc. There can also be skins and emotes to purchase as well. Crafting Plans can be Satchels with a fixed perk of Luck (goes with the rabbit foot theme).
Samuel Worthington Bloodgood III can be found in Weaver’s Fen (that place needs some love, but that’s an idea for another time). I don’t think multiple copies of him should be everywhere, because it is a bit immersion breaking, like how Salvatore was everywhere at the same time in the town squares. Maybe if they were different people, part of Salvatore’s quest to take out Baalphazu, that would have been better. I think you guys did a great job with the Winter Festival, where the sasquatch you speak with, had the one question about why he is everywhere at once, and his answer is “Those are my brothers” (paraphrased). It kept the immersion of the game. The Summer Medley Fair got away with it, somewhat, with the Maestro. But I think if they had different names, that would have kept the immersion.
Perhaps Samuel Worthington Bloodgood can have his Worthington Hunting Club members be quest givers in different towns, and Samuel can be found in Weaver’s Fen only.
I do not want to take credit for these ideas, but this was a collection of ideas I took from others and figured I make a post and share with you everyone here in the community and AGS.
