Turtle beach headset issue

I have a turtle beach headset that iv always used on my PC for games and it still works perfectly fine but when I connect it and open new world options, under audio it does not show my headset. Other players are using headsets so I’m not sure why mine won’t show up. I have tinkered with other options in game but still don’t work. I have checked that my headset is definitely working off the game which it is.
Please can you fix this issue

Hi @TheUndeadDestroyer! I’m sorry about the inconvenience, please make sure that all your PC drivers, especially audio drivers are updated to the latest version, also if you are using the Turtle Beach software make sure it is updated too.

Set the headset as the default audio device:

  • In the search box on the taskbar, type control panel, then select it from the results.
  • Select Hardware and Sound from the Control Panel, and then select Sound.
  • On the Playback tab, right-click the listing for your audio device, select Set as Default Device, and then select OK.

If you haven’t tried to verify the integrity of the game files before, follow this simple steps:

  • Restart your computer and launch Steam.
  • From a game’s library page, select Manage > Properties.
  • Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files… button.
  • Steam will verify the game’s files - this process may take several minutes.

Thank you for the reply.
I followed your steps and it started to work.

I had an issue also where when I started my pc with headset plugged in, I got black screen and pc did not load up but when I take the headset out it loads.
Then when I loaded new world it would not recognise it.

Now I start pc then plug in headset then load game and works fine
