Twitch connect doesn't work

  • Describe the issue you are experiencing: In section Social doesn’t work twitch account connect. I click on the button, the spinner appears but nothing happens. Friends of mine who bought the game to play with me have the same problem.
    I have already tried to reinstall and verify the game files via steam.

  • Is this a bug or an exploit: Bug

  • (if a bug) How did the issue effect your gameplay: I want to stream my adventure with the in-game features that twitch and new world offers.

  • What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: After i loggedin, click on the social menu, click on tab named twitch and click button “connect my twitch account”

  • When did this happen? I have had this problem for months and I still have it 08-Aug-2022 Timezone Rome UTC +2

I have the exact same problem, and have had it since release of the game. It worked in the beta, but after release I have never gotten it to work, and I have tried all the things they say here…

Same here, I didn’t need to connect with this for previous drop, but yea.

I am sorry to hear you’ve been having issues linking your New World account to Twitch in order to claim the drops. Here are some things we can try before creating a web ticket and which may solve the situation for you:

1- Go to “My connections” in your Twitch settings and remove New World if it is already showing there. Please do this even if you are almost sure you’ve never linked these before.
2- Once that is done please follow all the steps listed here in order:

Note that if it still does not work by the end of those steps, the scenario will require our tech team to look into your logs and follow up directly with other possibly sensitive account information that is best not posted on the forums so it would be best if you could please create a web ticket by going to Contact Us | Amazon Games..

I’m having the same issue with connecting my Twitch to the game.

Getting the drops isn’t the problem.
It is rather with the integration of Twitch w/ New World, where it gets stuck in an infinite loop and I can’t benefit from the streamers features.

I am also having this issue, I’m able to claim rewards via twitch.com, but the in-game Twitch connection does not allow for me to connect for streamer benefits in-game. When attempting to select the “Connect Twitch Account” option in-game via the social menu it shows a loading circle animation that keeps on rotating and never connects.

Same here, I have tried relogging and connecting, getting the drops/prime stuff is no problem at all but for some reason the streamer stuff doesn’t work like not seeing at your name if you are live etc.

Hello @Fenrirskoll , I disconnected every connection with the Amazon / New World mention in my Twitch settings, llike mentioned in Step 1, and I still get stuck in an infinite loading loop when I try the Connect Twitch Account option in the game.

Any other way this issue could be fixed?
(I don’t seem to be the only one having issues with integration and I’m not sure opening another ticket will fix this faster, but it’s your call)

Thank you for following up on this scenario. Please note if removing an existing connection to New World did not clear the issue of the infinite loading loop, it is best to follow up with a support ticket for review as we have no other known work around at present. Sometimes Twitch themselves may be able to remove the previous connection so that you can try linking again.

Since there were no connection to anything AGS/NW related in my Twitch, I will submit my ticket to Support.
