they’re not identical, 3rd perk is different, first one is keen beacon, 2nd staff has refreshing move as 3rd perk.

You’re absolutely right, so AGS must have also thought, they are not similar until 599 and from 600+ the order of the perks is different, how could I miss that.

Why no refreshing move, thwarting, maelstrom ga drop? Ever…nor grav well… nor chain… no ga even close to bis ever been a drop.
If they released two thwarting, refreshing move, maelstrom ga… bruisers would just be like “thank you ags” not complaining.

I dont see a problem here, if you want this perks, now you will have 2 different ways how to obtain this items or i miss something?

You know this is only bis for PvE, right? Keen beacon is a dead perk in PvP and it’s mandatory for healers not to use it in most companies.

My point is there has never been a bis ga drop, for pve or pvp… Which is why ga shards cost too Dan much.
We almost got one in startstone mashup… then it got beefed on ptr.

Which im kind of ok with seeing as i accidentally salvaged the tempest one on main acc not knowing it went legendary.
But yeah, both beacon staffs are salvaged for me.

If you look at it very closely, however, these are not two named items, even if the bottom one behaves that way. Besides, the bottom one is a one-time quest reward that you can also get below GS 590.
Nevertheless, I agree with you that two items that are identical should not be in the game.
I mean yeah that’s why i ended up salvaging the tempest one.
It didnt really appear “named” to me.
But it still gets the 3rd perk if you spent shards on a 590+ version.
I feel like the named items gets thrown into a “item creation generator” which rng’s the perk rolls and possibly even the names.
Unless theres someone at ags HQ forgetting they created a duplicate after the 100th creation.
There are bis drops for PvE but I guess that’s subject to what you want on your GA. A friend got a bis one from the Depths Gleaming Pitch weapons
