So since New World doesn’t have a class system. How do they promote re play through or stop the lower level dungeons to eventually die out? Everyone will eventually get to max level and i know there will be some new players joining us over time but would the new players have a hard time finding people for their dungeon quests or what because i cant think of any reason to start a new charecter once you already have especially with world changes coming. You wouldn’t have any reason to do a replay through the game and eventually the low level dungeons will die out i think.

But in all fairness, yes I haven’t made it to a point where I haven’t ran amrine for the bones quest. If it does end eventually, I think I wouldn’t run it again. Unless I had friends that needed it.
Yes, this is already starting to happen to people. It sucks that the main story is tied to a group dungeon. The low server population caps and the fast rate of leveling are already making it hard to find low-level groups outside of peak hours. Imagine what it’s going to be like in six months…
The principal issue of NW Expeditions (dungeons) is that they’re gated by a key. It’s called Expedition Orb, and it’s a damn expensive thing to craft, especially since it’s one-time-use. Basically, you expend the Orb on entering the Expedition.
I wonder what whoever came up with this idea was thinking. “Let’s take one of the worst failed concepts from grindy MMOs and make it worse,” maybe? I remember the time when WOW required attunement for raids, and also how gladly they dropped it because it didn’t serve any meaningful purpose.
All we can do is really hope AGS hear the feedback from their players and drop the totally pointless and utterly frustrating Orb mechanic. At least I firmly believe it’s pointless, because limiting the amount of drops a player can get from running an Expedition can be done in any number of different (and much less annoying) ways.
I completely agree with the frustrating mechanic of the orbs.
While it is very annoying to deal with a lot depends on the server size.
I do think there need to be a reason why visit old expedition as high level character outside of being nice.
I do somewhat liked the one time use key as it forced players to think as sometimes their actions would not only make others wait for mew member but potentionally waste a key.
What is the biggest problem of this game is that it is currently run on the same logic by gamers as every other new game.
This game is almost about community and reputation. That is what should be a priority for players to deal with.
Helping others in need and going out of your way to help someone else is something people should sometimes do.
This game is going to have a plentlu of time where one person may not have anything they need to do badly. So the time is there.
