As someone who has maxed and tried/played with all the weapons, and tested the most random builds to the meta builds- i had decided to leave my review on the weapons.
1: sns (ss)
Extremely good ( IF ) it works, sadly the hitboxes are the worse out of all weapons. The combo potential with the leapstrike into shield bash is the most fun thing to experiment with in the game. Sadly it rarely connects due to desync and rubberbanding/buggs and server lagg.
2: Rapier
The utility and damage on the rapier is probably the best in the game, no other weapon can create so much distance and counter melee builds better than the rapier, luckely the weakness is ranged weapons.
Sadly anyone using rapier is imortal since they can just hold W and fly away.
3: Hatchet
The hands down best PVE weapon, good burst and utility, sadly it has super small hitboxes and suffers allot from dsync when it comes to pvp., not much more to say about it.
4: Spear
Has amazing damage and good combo potential with the right build, if played perfectly the spear can conter all other melee weapons. It also is the most leaninent when it comes to dsync.
5: Greate axe (GA)
grav vell makes the weapon has a good place in the game, without grav vel the weapon is probably extremely poop tier, its currently the only melee weapon that can do something about ranged users., even tho it aint much
6: Warhammer (WH)
In group pvp the warhammer is probably The best weapon since it has huge aoe cc spells that stagger and heals you.
However in smaller fights and 1v1s its the second worst weapon(probably worse than hatchet)
Since the auto attacks never connect due to dsync and slow animations/ the abysmaly low spell damage, and only way to make good damage is to land fully charged heavys, it never works out good in duels.
7: Bow
The bow is the best ranged weapon, it has 0 weaknesses. If your at range and you land your shoots, you will always win, on pair with having the highest damage in the game, amazing burst potential, aoe makes the weapon impossible to deal with. Its only weakness is melee, but with its dash its easy to make distance and swap to an anti melee weapon, making it the best weapon at what it does.
8: Musket
The most fun weapon to use, sadly not good in pve, and sucks in 1v1 duels, its only use is in opr at poking down people from range. Damage is to low on medium/heavy players, slow burst, long and buggy reload time, the utility like traps and granades are to hard to land consistantly.
9: Blunderbuss
to new to make a big statment about the weapon, so far from using it it feels like its just to weak. If it had more damage it would probably be a decent weapon.(reasserch needed)
10: Fire staff
a good all rounder weapon, is usefull in pve,pvp,duels,opr you name it. It does not excell at anything but its fun to use and quite reliable.
11: Life staff
If you use lifestaff in medium/heavy you will be an imortal beast, nothing can kill you in 1v1/2v1.
Highly needed everywear, the king of all weapons, the absolute number1.
Can also combo the lifestaff with any other weapon.
12: Ice Gauntlet (bug Gauntlet)
Honestly at launch of new world i found the ice gauntlet kinda trash,
But since the last few patches its become * the * best anti melee weapon.
Anyone stuck in the ice shower or ice field spell instantly gets bugged up, and desyncs crazy, somethimes buggs up their entire spell bar.
on pair on also often having damage buggs like all hits of pillars landing on a target for one shoots, it makes it quite suitable for all situations.
13: Void Gauntlet
The one weapon all other fear.
Ranged+melee, magic damage, high burst, self healing, debuffing, self buffing damage and resistances, CC+anti heal, crowd controll best.
Just reading all the things the weapon can do should paint the picture well.
its like all other weapons combined but it does not accel the best at anything.
Overall the most used weapon in the game.
here is my Ranking of the weapons pvp wise
S= Lifestaff/voidG/ice gauntlet/bow
A= Rapier/GA/WH/spear
Trash= All other weapons not mentioned.
