Umbral Shard Selling needs to be addressed

Have you even truly read my post? “im firmly against grind”. That being said, M10 is LITERALLY the endgame. It should require effort, it should not be something you can just carry someone. PLUS, that is NOT even carrying. It’s practically cheating, doing the expedition 5 people, till the end, then replacing one with another right before killing the boss. PLUS, like i said, Umbrals are NOT tradable, and im guessing thats for a reason. So give me a break, ive been playing mmos for years as well. This is not carrying. You probably know the difference but want the system to stay so you can use it.

Yes it is.

skipping the entire run just for shards is not a carry, it should be considered cheating.

AGS is fully aware of the situation and has already made it clear they consider it a carry - and that it’s permitted.

Yet they banned some people for it. They also talked about crafting a bit but no one mentioned about horrible rng in crafting in the latest dev video… Does it mean we should not ask for crafting to be truly fixed? So its not about it being legal at the moment, its about feedback, opinions and arguments made for it. With that logic Gravity Well was legal as well, why did it get nerfed? XD (dont get me wong, im okay with it, ive been using spear and liking it for a while now anyway)

Proof?

i will have to ask my friend for it  appearently someone reported another player for “scamming” them in an umbral shard run and the seller got banned instead.

it was probably a stream im not sure, i dont watch those.

I think he understands it’s not currently illegal. I think questioning this practice is a legit discussion though, and he’s not just “crying”. I personally don’t care one way or another, but I can see merit to an argument that selling bop items using a “work around” should not be allowed.

Thank you! It’s good to see people with logic. i mean im pretty sure many of these people dont have any problem going and spamming that an ability is OP in other threads. with that logic, they are “legal” as well but why are we even here if we wont try to give feedback and try to improve/fix the game right?

I mean we might as well put 1-2-3-4-5-6k umbral shards into faction store as well at this point(Hell it would even help with inflation). For me, getting 6k umbrals without doing anything at all is not different than bugging a boss and defeating it.

You are against grinding but you’re playing a genre where it revolves around a grind to progress. That’s like me playing call of duty and but being firmly against hitscan. Not tyring to be mean or anything but it simply seems odd to be against the very thing that makes the genre.

The dungeon orb is also untradable so by all account slot selling should also be viewed as cheating the requirement of having to farm resources to craft or farm tokens to purchase the keys.

Gamers are efficient. This topic seems more like a case of individual player ethics.

let me rephrase it then, im against too much grind, or as people call it grindfest. im not against progressing, and grind isnt necessarily equal to progressing afterall

Hehe I thought COD switched away from hitscan in some of their more recent games?

Cod will never be BF no matter how hard they paint the sky blue lol.

Okay,
NW’s grind is nowhere near as bad as other mmo’s, especially unlike kmmo’s. Vise versa however this game physically tries to hinder progression with an excessive daily cap.

Let me exsploit for you, i have 4 kids, and i like pcp in nw, but i dont have 10h a day to farm shard, i am rich in have 400k in pocket becose i fliping stuff in trade hause, so for me pay 15k to get 6k shard is sound like good biznis and good cach up mechanic, you see i wana be 625 not becose i am.lazy ,just becose i have no time to grind.

Not everyone is a nolifer able to grind the shit out of his time to get shards
Every mechanic that Make persons easy shouldn’t be questioned point blank

I’m going to be locking this topic as it has already been addressed multiple times and the answer remains the same. There is nothing rule breaking about selling carries or selling in game items for in game currency.
