What a god awful system. Make them drop from other places. Why do we have to play find the g’damn tuning orb to upgrade our gear? This makes me want to quit this game. Now I have to suck ass to people I don’t like to get my gear up.
Or put in non-angry words. I’ve never seen a worse system that prioritizes having people you know or being popular. The more keys you can run as an individual the faster you will outgear everyone else. It’s annoying. There’s also no other sources for large amounts of umbral shards. Trying to find groups with people who are all on the same level as you is also extremely difficult. This isn’t enjoyable, at all.
And then made it trash by making the stipulations to pushing not only gold related but entire group related, and then they made it limited. On top of it, it’s artificially timegated. On top of that, it’s not even that good of rewards. On top of that, it’s not even new content. On top of that, it’s a ripoff of Mythic + from WoW.
It’s almost like the dev team ruined it.
PS I don’t know if you haven’t noticed with World of Warcraft, but when games start to take a turn for the suck people just fucking quit.
Umbral, like Gypsum, should be available from multiple forms of content. So I do agree with that, however not making friends or playing with other players is a you problem. Worst case, make your own static, pick 4 people you met in pugs that were good and off you go
Yeah that’s fine and dandy till you need to do ten of these which brings us back to the part where they’re traded via gold, which is great till EVERYONE has to have completed an orb up unto X difficulty together to do X difficulty.
Also they have to be geared enough, and gear doesn’t matter as much as the ilvl of it.
Nah, the price of regular gen/laz is going to fall off totally. Nobody wants to farm them. Your static can do what, 15 runs a week without any outside influence at all.
Plus as you grind up, you can join upcoming groups that need your roie, getting you in for free runs. It isn’t like you only get rewards from the next hardest, going back and just re-running still gives lots and lots of drops, and Umbral.
