AGS do yourself and your playerbase a favor and utilize umbral shards for switching perks on items. Give us some deterministic gear grind and end the stochastic farm. This would encourage Build diversity and make your system, which is at base a theorycrafters paradise, more accessible.
Games like GW1 and GW2 showed that it is absolutely viable to grind for skins and prestige. Which is imo far more relaxing than a grind for bis stats.
This would also close gear gaps and open up skill gaps, which is very healthy for a competitive game.
