Unable to connect to server. Please confirm your internet access and try again

I have played over 1200 hours and never received this error. I have repeatedly completed every troubleshooting suggestion and nothing works. I play every single day and was even playing a few hours ago with no issues.

  • I have a wired connection that I have disconnected and re-connected
  • Restarted my router
  • Tried a wireless connection
  • Verified game files
  • Restarted my PC
  • Updated Windows and all of my drivers
  • Logged in and out of Steam
  • Uninstalled and Re-installed the game
  • Used the CLI to renew my IP and flush my DNS

I too am having the same problem and completed the round of troubleshooting tips as well. I tried a VPN and it worked but the lag was terrible with extreme rubbing banding, so it’s not a viable option for me. I think it may be related to my ISP.

The odd part is all other games, browsers, discord, and network software are working fine.

I too am having this same error message. Last Night I used the Regional transfer. Everything was was work this morning fine aroun 1:30am mountain time. This morning I am getting this message, I restarted computer, rebooted router and modem. Steam is not down. New World Server not down. Need help please.

It’s definitely not our ISP since other games (even on Steam) work, internet browsers work, discord works, etc. It’s very frustrating.

Hoping this gets worked out today. It must be only a few people, and it only started today. Thank you for posting it.

I feel quite frustrated as well. Thanks for your info. It’s only New World for me as well, but yet if I VPN to Seattle, I can connect and play - lag is horrible though. So I was thinking it may be some kind of internet routing issue. I’ve tried several different DNS servers, but that didn’t help. All ideas are welcome.

I feel there is no more technical troubleshooting I can do that will solve this issue. It’s certainly not my PC or network, so I’m happy about that side of things at least.

I transferred servers (not a regional transfer) a couple of days ago and everything worked just fine until a few hours ago.

Same problem here, I’m in Germany.

I’m back up and running again and using all my previous settings. Things just seemed to magically start working again so I hope you are able to game soon as well.

I am back up after restarting the computer again. Like you said, Magic.
