Unable to insert gem into socketed item

  I have tried relogging and using a different amber gem and nothing can be inserted into the socket

i have the same problem, i think it is the perk “chain arcane, etc” causing the bug

its a bug, you can only slot ice to chain ice, fire to chain fire, nature to chain nature.
for your weapon you need chain nature to slot them, then the nature gem works,
i hope they fix that soon…
