Unable to log into the game

I get to the character screen but then after hitting play, I get the “grey play button” and the spinning wheel of death.

What have I done to remedy this?

  1. I verified my game files.
  2. Rebooted my computer.
  3. Banged my forehead on my desk.
  4. Face-rolled my keyboard.

None of the above has helped. Suggestions welcomed.

My apologies for this inconvenence.

Please close steam from task manager wait 5mins and open steam as admin.

After this try to join New World again.

If the issue persist please let me know
