Before patch 1.0.5 I had been using a separate account to store all of my items I didn’t have room for on my main account. After hundreds of hours of gameplay this “bank” alt character has acquired a weight of around 13500. This is a level 7 character who I had parked at the trading post due to frequently being unable to move due to encumbrance. This character has no bags so the carry weight is 13500/200.
Currently with the new patch this character is unable to trade items before level 10 and unable to use the trading outpost without completing some town quests. I fully understand why these changes were made and support them being implemented to the game.
My problem now is that this bank alt is completely stuck. Unable to move due to encumbrance, unable to trade due to level restrictions and unable to gain any xp to level due to my current location next to the trading post. I have tried killing mobs while in a group and in range of this character but did not gain any xp. I also tried teleporting into an expedition but again did not gain any xp. The high encumbrance this character has makes it so you can’t even basic attack to tag mobs.
The game currently has a weight limit of the items you drop on the ground and a despawn timer of 3 mins on dropped items. To be able to move I would have to drop the max weight on items and wait for them to despawn multiple times. The unstuck feature isn’t moving the character at all or not far enough away from the previously dropped items to drop more items.
The only solution I can see for this is to be moved by a game master to either a crafting station, town board or outside of the town to craft off a camp which I was told is not possible. If anyone has any ideas or solutions I’d love to hear them.
