I understand competition in a market can be good but having to constantly relist your offer because someone is constantly undercutting for small increments is actually insane. Let’s say you list planks for 20.00 and someone will come along and list for 19.99 then 19.98 and so on.
If there was a timer on listing items, it could possibly combat this to an extent. Any other ideas?
No its a free market… price swings are a real thing and positive. There is a bottom, you just need to figure out what it is, but the people that are undercutting are going for a fast sale, not looking to max the returns.
If you have to constantly undercut certain items it means the demand at a certain price level is lower than the supply.
And this is quite normal market behaviour.
If supply would be lower than demand, your items would be simply sold.
And everyone can either leave the market for certain items, if he thinks its not worth the effort or change his approach or enter the market with new items, … .
Quite normal => no need to change here anything.
Only item where AGS could really really improve is identifying and banning Bots, because they impact markets for mass goods on large scale, robbing real players of opportunities.
While i agree banning bots the effects are gonna be huge if u can completely remove the food prices will highrocket and basic resources will go up in price while as a crafter i don’t care more spend more received new player experience won’t be similar AGS should do something to benefit new players if prices go too high
