Yes, we are getting the short end of the stick. Probably because a graph shows we are doing ok, but in reality we are fighting tooth and nail to stay afloat, competition from coin farmers to gather mats, taxes, etc. Yet through immense hard work and sufferage we stay afloat. The graph says we are fine. Well we are working not playing, so they need to stop blowing us off as fine.
I’m not agreeing with it, but when your back is against the wall, and you have no real content to showcase, what would you do?
Stall.
That’s what this is, a game of stall the players.
It happens in other MMOs, just not this pathetically.
yeah same because we didnt play the game corretly apparently. 2 months of the game being out all players thought we were free to do what ever such as craft gear, gather mats, make money, farm elite, and farm expoditions. Then 2 months later everyone who didnt Do elite farms or lots of expeditions or both to get max HWM were told they played the game wrong and they actually should of farmed HWM to make sure their gear is powerful and now they’re receiving a nerf for not playing that part of the game.
make post speak your opinion on how you dont like this change like i am. i hope all the negative feedback this change has created since AGS announced it will make them trash the idea or at least listen to some of the real feedback on how to make this change tolerable.
They can make this fair for me… anybody wearing top end crafted armor has to grind that armor skill to 200 and any harversting and refining skills that go along with that craft. Otherwise they cant wear the crafted armor. When people start putting actual BIS crafted armor on the market and someone cant buy and wear it… tough
I’ve had that thought lurking in the back of my mind for hours, and sadly I think you just nailed it. AGS needs to “run out the clock” until April for the Q1 invester reports or whatever the hell it is.

Gathering luck food and +stat food and potions and corruption tinctures should be nerfed by 90% when used by non crafters!
Crafters and harvesters have to get expertise calculated based on the work they have made spending countless hours/xp gained in harvesting and crafting.
If someone simply purchased mat, all the mat (really?) to reach 200 in multiple crafting job that’s different.
But for those that have farmed, refined, collected, crafted. You can’t just pop a new rule and say “yeah whatever, do that again”
Everything is saved right? They have the data yes, the number of node actually collected by a character. The number of mat refined etc. So they have to adjust those data with the new system.
Or they can reboot WM for all ? No, it’s not fair for those that have farmed chest or whatever for days.
So the same apply to crafters/harvesters.
Initially there was going to be a 600 coin daily tax for crafting the orbs to raise your GS in the new expertise system. After negative feedback there is a dev post that states they will be drastically lowering that daily crafting tax on the orbs.
Exactly, and some peoples totally dedicated their play time to those tasks.

They can not just say it doesn’t exist and need to be done again like it’s nothing.

To make this fair they just need to make it Your crafted HWM gear is its own HWM and you can wear gearscore as high as the highest GS of the same item you crafted
(example you buy a 588 chest piece or have it crafted for you but the highest gear score chest piece you crafted was 560.) That 588 chest piece would down grade to 560 until you level through crafting a higher gs chest piece or using gypsium to raise that 560 benchmark .
And then you can Also raise HWM expertise through the system they proposed.
That way anyone who farms PVE elites or expeditions still gets the grind and the change they’re all happy about.
Crafters who spent time and gold gathering, refining, getting crafting armor, and raising their gs by equipping their highest crafts they made many peices of to roll the right perks. still keep their effectiveness while getting their own expertise grind.
And anyone who bought armor or paid a crafter to get their BiS gear still has to use one of the expertise systems, by crafting high gs items to raise gs or farming the gypsum changes, to even get the full effectiveness of their gear
PVP scaling is borked right now. The theorycrafters have figured out that the formula being used is broken. I have not put much effort into figuring out if the formula is fixed/tweaked or whatever in the December patch. However, I suspect that it probably will be. PVP balancing is always a tricky scenario. How do you treat a person who just turned max level versus a person who has been max level for 30 days? Honestly, this is what I think AGS is thinking about and trying to solve. There are various solutions that other games have implemented and I don’t think they have determined what they want, because there is no perfect solution.
true the pvp armor scaling where a 400gs heavy piece provides the same amount of damage reduction as a 600 gs heavy is really borked. They probably will change that soon i hope. GS only scales corrently for PVE content apparently though
It is a MMO. MMO’s change all the time. There is nothing static about a MMO. Want something static, that never changes? Try chess or checkers.
Find it funny all these people with high water mark levels making out that they have “played” the game when majority of their HWM will have come from running a round elite areas avoiding / exploiting ai and looting chests.
This is a slap to those who have avoided this exploiting and focused on other areas of the game.

This whole scenario boils down to something very simple . . .
The game is stopping people from going to the TP to buy their way to 600gs. That is it. If you want to have 600gs power, earn it by doing activities that take you away from the town’s TP or the town’s tables. Pretty simple.
your tell us all you never bought a single item from the tp that was never ever crafted i call you a liar if that is the case you never got every item you used as a drop 90% that is dropped is trash simple as.
It’s doing far more damage. My crafted gear will have less stats on it, and it’s locked behind time gated orbs, which will be the most efficient way going forward to raising HWM. The zerging of chests is nerfed by 90%.
Maybe your GS should also be nerfed by 90%, and you should earn it back by doing activities that take you away from the forums. Pretty simple.
These posts are understandable but they’re making things in to bigger problems.
If you’re a 100% crafter you shouldn’t care if your GS is 600 or not. If you PvP you’ll get your WM up. If you PvE you’ll get your WM up. You don’t have to kill super hard things in teams. Anything 60+ will get it up in time, yes they’re nerfing it a bit but again, you’re a crafter?
if you’re concerned you can’t charge people money for items? People can buy 600gs gear and never have to upgrade it again. You get to choose the perk and item shard things now too to better create the items you want and make them valuable to other players. BiS is still BiS.
