Unfactioned & Factioned Players - WORLD PVP

ON PTR NOTES:

Players no longer need to be in a Faction to join a Company, but Companies must
still declare a Faction. Non-Faction-affiliated members may not become the
Governor or participate in Wars.

What if…

Factioned players => Always flagged for PvP (There is no War Mode ) - PvP is active all the time.

Unfactioned players => If the player belongs to a company he can switch War Mode to flag for PvP or NOT. But If he does not join a company he won’t be flagged for PvP, never.

Would prefer the possibility of factionless PvP so that any flagged player is a potential foe to fight and not force any sort of forced flag state since that likely will never happen regardless.

Especially since there are still PvE benefits to joining a faction and company.

How is this any different?

Can be too… but he would have 3 PvP factions against him and no allies. :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Don’t you see the difference? The difference is subtle. Its a behavioral bias solution, because right now world PvP is dead, people just do not Flag.

How would that get them to flag?

How would that get them to flag?

Because people that enjoy PvP content like Wars ( that are only for Factioned players ) most of them are the same that want PvP servers and complaint about it on forums.

So if you want to enjoy Wars, you will have to be a factioned player that are always flagged for PvP. In other hand if you are a PvE player you still get in a guild Unfactioned and can choose to PvP or not, but you will not be able to participate on Wars.

What would be the cooldown on swapping between the two?

Idk, 24h ?, a week ? a month ? I think cooldown would need some adjustments till found out the best case.
