My problem is that i have 3k gold to my name, and 3 other houses for transportation.
As you know if you are lvl 60, money isnt growing on trees anymore.
Buying a new one for 10k to craft and pay more taxes isnt tempting to say the least.

It’s not exactly hard to make money. Wars generate a ton of money, slaying elites for days generates a ton of money.
And if you’re not doing that, you can always sell stuff to ppl who do it. Auction is the way to make money.
If you’re really strapped for cash and haven’t even any crafting leveled (although you can sell even lower lvl stuff if it rolled well - surprisingly, not everyone is lvl60 yet), you go gather some materials and sell them. And don’t tell me they’re worth nothing… You can even make money on raw hides. Still, if you’re looking to actually make profit, you’ll check what’s worth gathering before going on and collecting the most overfarmed stuff for 5 hours. On my server, that would probably be oil and motes. Although, personally, even being behind on crafting levels, I never needed to resort to selling resources yet. Even wyrdwood fishing poles still sell better than just selling the wyrdwood…
You can name a 100 ways to earn money, i also know they are there, but most, if not all are time consuming.
So i need 10k gold more,to be in balance before i buy a house, thats expences right now to be able to craft at all. And this is fair to you?
Then i need to pay taxes and other expences when crafting because i use the facilities…
Then taxes on my new house.
Seriously, im tired of this shit.
Im done.
Im tired and just fed up.
So yeah, i wont let the door hit me on the way out.
Usubscribing this thread now, because i feel like people are only here to defend this “turd” no matter what.
Like i have been playing this game for 300 hours+ because i hate it?
That said im a realist, its just not there yet, maybe it never will be.
Im out.
MMO is a grind? You’re surprised? XD
500-1k/h is the norm for ‘slave labor’. Want more? Do something that’s in high demand and low supply. E.g., be the first to craft 550+ jewelry or sth like that, be the first to sell high GS drops (that ship has sailed); farm specific drops that are not overfarmed… Although even any of that won’t end up in much more than the baseline (maybe 2k-3k per hour at the very very best).
Also, 10k for house is much? Rly? That’s just 1 day of playing even doing the most basic mind-numbing stuff and you will get to forever keep that house. So you say you played 100’s of hours and suddenly a 10h grind is too much? I smell a burnout. And if that’s not the case, you rly shouldn’t need to play 300 hours in a grinding game to realise you don’t like grinding, if that was the case. 300-310 is exactly the same grind as 50-60 was. I guess the only difference is that 50-60 maybe felt more “fresh” and “new”.
Want to get rich fast? Make your own company, capture everfall, loot the company treasury = profit. Although, not sure how long this Ponzi scheme could last (I would guess until you fail to pay the upkeep, get thrown into war and your own company does not defend the land) Xd.
There is a way to move items from one place to another without using Azoth… just run.
It works great, the maps are not too large and if you have space then you can also pick up some nice gathering/mining/skinning/harvesting items along the way.
“Why are weaker factions actually punished for beeing weaker?
Its possible to give rewards to dominating factions without punishing weaker factions like this.” This right here made me laugh that’s the point lol. Not everyone can be a winner in a game not everyone can be rich in real life. Someone is always going to better then you life is not fair the mechanics are not set up for everyone to be winning and getting the best benefits. What’s the point of owning towns if it means nothing. I swear people want everything just handed to them.
I have to say, New World feels more and more like New Work. You spend more time organising your storage, filing everything at the right place, moving stuff to the place with the best crafting stations etc…
Maybe that’s the end game at the end of it all, a constant management run to keep your storage correctly filled at each settlement.
Personally I think they need to look into this, because with the faction imbalance that happens on many servers, it becomes a chore to play. Azoth cost shoots up, can’t transfer items to any of your locations, have to walk everywhere because your azoth is absolute zero. I feel this is one of the bigger issues in the game. People don’t want to come home from work and feel like they’re back at it. That defeats the purpose of any game.
azoth is not that bad to farm honestly once ur 60 i do mine at restless shore you can also buy azoth bottles on the auction house
Spending 2 hours of your gaming time to farm something that’s sole purpose is to allow you to fast travel. I’ve disliked that system since beta and nothing will change that.
i mean if your going somewhere in real life and it takes 2 hours to get to a store is that a waste of time :S ? T he travel is a little annoying but i don’t think people are looking into the mechanics and getting to understand them before they go and run and cry on the forms tbh seems a lot of people in this game just want shit handed to them
This isn’t real life though. And just before you start judging me that I want shit handed to me, I play Runescape 3 on ironman mode. And my character has at all skills at 80, with some at the 90s and some at 99. I don’t think you’re in any position to say I want things handed to me easily.
What I want is to spend my time grinding resources, not speculate if my grinding will yield me enough Azoth for the day.
Inn recall to EF maybe??? just a thought
I never said you did i said in general i think travel is a little broken but at the same time if it’s super easy whats the point of different trade post and banks. People are not thinking about the other mechanics in the game that are effected by this. In certain areas and with perks on your gear or bags + farming high lvl mobs in a group azoth is not hard to fill up honestly
Having different trade posts and banks is their first mistake, it just doesn’t work that well. It means you segregate the market, creating even further imbalances in the economy as nothing has a “fixed” price any more. It also means it’s impossible to know whether you get a fair price or a rip-off on items you’re buying, unless you check that specific item selected on every trading post. I get their overarching attempt on the fantasy and it’s quite noble of them, but ultimately I don’t think it works from a gameplay perspective. It creates more frustration than it solves.
That’s my key issue with AGS approach in New World, they think about the fantasy and don’t think about the gameplay. I don’t think player wants to play a Tycoon game, they want to play an MMORPG game.
I personally think the grand exchange like in runescape would have been a good idea imo. This would also mean there is no point of separate banks then in towns , no point in town boards which levels your reputation in that town and whats the point of different towns then . If you look at in different angles you come to see 1 mechanic of the game is tied into almost every other part of the game changing how the TP boards works effects literally everything and same with fast travel the whole game would need changed imo
Settlement reputation has still a major impact. XP gain, tax reduction and gathering speed are incentives to level up reputation with the settlement. It’s not like changing the TP will demolish any settlements. Beside, it is possible to change systems around and adapt them to the already existing systems. It’s not like things are carved in stone.
Atleast the run from WW to Everfall is quite short compared to some other runs.
First, let me say that the map itself is not that big yet, so physically caring materials is more or less just less convenient. Second, I will say that I am not a fan of having to have multiple bank locations and would have preferred a centralized banking system. Azoth is okay for using as a booster ingredient and a travel mechanic, just wish there was no cap. Third, I will never be a fan of craft stations being tied to a war system. I get its an attempt to create a social classes in a social game, but its not like we have a Player Crafter vs Player Crafter system. PVPers are not the same mindset as Player Crafters, this is not to say that PVPers cannot be Player Crafters or vice versa, but that the objectives are absolutely not the same. Moreover, Fisherman vs Fisherman is not really an option either, same problem. As far as having to pay a tax, sure, in a medieval sense, it makes sense. Pay me this for your protections.
Have you thought of just…organizing a group of people and taking the city for yourself? You only need 50 players to fight in a war. A single skilled group can own any city if you’re good.
