In my experience, most game companies wont give you exact details that lead to the ban. This is for security and legal sake.

AGS might have though he was a gold seller or using some sort of exploit. I suggest your friend put in a ticket with them.
They do not tell so you cannot find away to hide what they know next time. Think aboit. if you stole £20 from my wallet and i said i know you did it. and you asked how and i said there is a camera on the table. Next you would move the cam or the wallet before you took from it.#
Most big games do not explain how they catch people cheating or everyone would know how to not get caugth.
You have that backwards. It’s innocent until proven guilty, otherwise things get dicey real quick. Not defending this guy or his friend, I’m sure Amazon has proof of his guilt.

I can assure that every time that there’s a perma-ban related to cheating/gold selling/hacks/exploits they are carefully reviewed by the dev team, with that being said, they use their tools to check the required information to confirm/discard this.
We always give the benefit of the doubt so you can appeal the ban and they can review it, also when you appeal you have the option to provide proofs (You know that even we work with technology, there’s always a small window or error).
However, I can see that this one was already double check by our team and they insist that something was wrong, they are talking about “cheating”.
