Unfairness to crafter debate - CHANGE MY MIND

so let me get this straight -

if you invest a ton of money into any crafting professions; you’d need

  • level 200
  • tens of thousands of tier 1/2/3/4 (wood, fibers, ores)
  • tens of thousands of refining agents (flux, sand papers, weave)
  • 3 MAJOR trophy
  • food buff
  • territory buff
  • 1 piece of earring
  • 5 piece of armor (good luck w weaponsmith pant)
  • 24 hr timegate on asmodeum/glittering/etc
  • mods + timeless
  • AND SOME HOW YOU STILL ONLY RNG 595-600? 1/6 chance to roll a legendary
  • ANDDDDDD you have to pray that that legendary has 2 decent perk out of the 30 useless ones?

while you can JUST run genesis/lazarous and get wayyyyy better gear ??

What you failed to realize is that most mechanics in an mmo aren’t suppose to be fun or rewarding. It’s a common misconception when looking at mmos as games

Where can I get BIS armor for melee? can it have resilience and freedom? or even resilience refreshing will work. also will need weapon perks for GA and Ham (leaching path, gwell, sundering shock, wrecking ball and maelstrom) thanks a head of time, hope the expedition isn’t to hard to get them.

“This time It will be different…” – AGS 2022

Armor must be crafted mostly. Amulet almost bis aswell. And some weapons aswell. But there are bis weapons drop which will mostly not be crafted in the same quality yes. I wanted a void gauntlet GS 600 with Str or dex. I had to craft it.
I think the balance is in an okay state.

Item decay should be a feature and remove repair from the player. Weapon and Armor smiths and maybe engineer should be able to repair or “tune” items. I guess many players like to have unique armor and weapons. But if crafting is one of the main content in an MMO, crafters should have something to work on, even almost everybody has legendary stuff. What is the long term sense of crafting? The last patch with its mutation dungeons and gear score race to 625 made mastered crafting almost useless.
What is the end game sense of crafting in NW?
