We’ve been playing New World with our friends for a long time already. But now we are facing a problem and wanted to seek help in the forum because we couldn’t resolve the problem with the support team. The issue is that our friends account “Tay Grimm” on “Dry Tree” server was recently(11.03.2022) permanently banned for allegedly using a cheating programm. After contacting support he received a feedback claiming that the ban he received was somehow justified and providing him with no further information on the matter what so ever. There is absolutely no doubts that he have NOT used any cheat or hack programms while playing the game. His only guess that another programm(music programm which he recently installed after installing a new soundcard) on his computer must have been mistakenly indentified as a cheating programm which he already stated in his initial ticket. But it appears that the support team didn’t even bother looking into details of the matter and took no further actions. This decision is unacceptable because our friend didn’t break any rules as Amazon has claimed. We’re looking for justice and hope that we can find support here, so the developers/administrators here will spot the problem and take proper action to resolve the problem with the unjust ban.

yeah you get banned and you can’t post, creating new account actually is another ban reason by the TOS. It’s laughable.
Also they just say “Cheating” to anything, they don’t provide any info, i am certain they banned him in the wave of duplication bans.
Possible situation
A: If any of his buy orders like for example honing stones, was fulfilled he automatically duped something if he had a lower quantity of honing stones in his bank.
B: He reordered items in the hotbar to fill up potions/food/honingstones, then he duped by accident.
C: He actually duped something intentionally, and got banned because the auto ban script (which will 100% has more bugs then anything) decided he should be auto banned for either A or B
D: He abused the shit out of the dupe and got banned for that (Possible but since AGS isn’t giving logs i say he didn’t)
AGS needs to revisit their horrible practices, their bug, their autoban script, their shit to resolve.
One of our guildmates, (First MMO for her) got also perma banned. 1.5k hours down the drain.

The issue is also the support team isn’t the community team, and they don’t share the info on the bans with anyone but their spouses. Eg even if the banned person asks, the support just says “No, and don’t message us anymore” and goes back to another round of candy crush.
Hey there, I understand that you are trying to appeal your ban for your friend which is admirable; however, no one on the forums has the ability to investigate in-game moderation action. Only the Game Moderation team does, which they review via ticket. All discussion in regards to this will need to be between the player and our Support team since the team does not discuss individual cases publicly.
I’m sorry there’s nothing further we are able to do to assist with this and with all other threads, we will need to close this.
