Not really, it’s how healing works in almost every game ever. Heals work regardless of who casted it usually. Why are you making this stand? It also makes no sense.
You want fair gameplay? Lets play Raw PvP where GearScore is disabled and its just you, me our weapons n nothing else. There is noting fair in having to nerf an entire archetype to the ground to satisfy 1 % of people who have not practiced enough to win.
It was extremely unbalanced before. You could 10v1 people when resilient gear was broken. Nevertheless, it is still over tuned, mainly the fortify stack and light’s embrace, and it should be brought more in line with the other weapons. From my experience, only the VG and spear could come close to killing me 1v1, but after stacking void/thrust resistance they were no longer a problem. The vg will likely get nerfed soon, leaving only the spear. Then you can stack full thrust and I doubt anyone will be able to kill you 1v1 anymore.
You can ignore your own comments pointed out if you want. Keep trying to dodge and make actual excuses go on ahead. Keep parroting. It won’t make your belief true.
If you think of healing output as equivalent to damage output in terms of doing ones job, the life staff is capable of out healing most (all?) weapons. I think it can out heal some weapons’ damage per second by a factor of 2.
Anyway, the problem isn’t the healing output, its the self-sustain. If you toned down the life staff’s self-sustain the life staff user would still be able to do their job just fine. They would still determine if their team wins or loses a team fight. They just wouldn’t get away with cringe-worthy gameplay, like standing still healing their team while someone is beating on them.
After not only laying out all your responses @Mansi out you still try to hide behind “if you wana keep give excuse fine” Should look in the mirror you’re a real troll.
All skills a healer does for others they can do for themselves. Why would that change. Is it because you like to duel non-stop and play the “I won’t use a potion game” why do you not practice with potions and consumables?
However it’s ok to have leeching and life stealing perks on every weapon. DD’s can heal themselves with gigantic crits but healers should just be thrown under the bus then?
All you have to do is move around and dodge to avoid damage. It is not hard. Everyone other class does this. If you are not trying to damage another player, it is very easy to avoid damage.
Additionally, once again, the problem is being able to stack fortify on yourself 100% of the time. No one should be able to do that besides a true tank. If you are not stacking fortify on yourself constantly then these threads do not apply to you.
The only counter to heavy healers is a void gauntlet. The counter to med and light healers, plagued crits.
Hell, fought a heavy healer using a spear yesterday, me in FS/IG with light armor. He literally just sat in the circle until his cooldowns were up, and tried to combo me out. Went on for about 5 mins, me easily reading his stuns and dodging them, came close a few times. PVE got involved, he managed to catch me dealing with the PVE that got agro due to my AOEs hitting em…and finished me. Got on global telling me to keep moving the next time I see him
2nd weapon means nothing really. I’ve killed healers in med and light using a plagued crits ice gaunt with keen. Takes a bit of timing after they drop below 50%.
Heavy…simply can’t do enough damage if your solo, without a void gaunt.
Fix is simple. Negative healing if wearing full heavy. A build shouldn’t only have 1 counter to it…
Only the shield and sword can do it constantly. No other weapon can have it up 100% of the time besides the life staff. The 15% fortify you get from using your left click is fine. It is in line with what other weapons can do, but the other self-fortifying abilities are overkill.
So orb of protection is all that really mattered to you? You don’t even need any focus for that you could off-hand a life staff and have that fortify as well. What’s the big deal here.
Yep, orb of protection and fortify from sacred ground. If those only applied to your allies and not yourself, I think people wouldn’t complain about the life staff too much. It’s 20% damage mitigation whenever you want.
