Regional purchasing power is quite an interesting thing. The dollar is worth far more than a lot of currencies and lots of monthly wages are lower when converted to USD. You wouldn’t want to spend a weeks salary on a video game. It is unfortunate that people abuse those measures and purchase copies for the wrong prices.

So, we are encouraged to join the new overflow servers to alleviate que. However, the doors get locked behind you and you can’t go back. Feels a bit like punishment towards the team player that transferred to alleviate ques, because there is no going back if you don’t like it.
This certainly would explain why I see a lot of alts on these new servers. People don’t want to transfer then get locked out.

All too correct. I didn’t even have a chance at the other server. I bought the game and started on the new one cause it was already hard locked away.

No, you’re not. New World have no PvP scene for competitive PvP players. 99.99% of competitive PvP players won’t touch this game’s PvP scene. The very nature of New World’s progression systems goes completely against competitive PvP. It’s pretty much just baby seal clubbing.

imagine ags put up one sea server right, then the traffic of players from sea can leave delos and delos players with their returning mates or friends that just started will have a no queue server. would be sad to leave you guys tho but it is what it is.

Just have your friend roll another character on your server, it only took 1 day…
The server is locked for character creation AND transfers which is stated in the original post.

Clearly you don’t understand as Delos hasn’t had a queue in MONTHS, let alone hit player cap. Our region is tiny for gaming let ALONE for a game like New world. On Launch sure with mass amounts of hype. but as it stands and has stood for the past few months (ACCORDING TO SERVER TRACKERS), pop has been consistently below max, zero to LOW (IF ANY) queues. as it stands currently
For some other regions your comment does make sense but for AP Southeast, it does not.

But what you forget is that various servers were merged into Delos last year.
AGS knows why they locked the server in preparation for Brimstone.
They’ve been locked for ages, it would make more sense to be UNLOCKED before Brimstone so players with low characters, newer players wanting to join their friends can get settled and level before all the new stuff drops. Sure other servers were merged, but would you assumed due to Said merge the player count would hit higher often? or at least queue somewhat. that would make sense for the locks, but as I’ve stated above multiple times, those numbers aren’t being hit and queues aren’t even being used. Why keep a lock on servers and keep players complaining.

<3 I appreciate that! From what I found you can use the XP reward from playing a song, lasts an hour and helps a fair bit, have a nice rotation of townhall boards and it doesn’t take TOO Long.
That’s mostly all I did in my time. Found ways to have a faster board clearing time on restless etc.
