Personally I would prefer bonuses such as titles, themed housing items not able to get anywhere else, and a themed armor skin you cant get anywhere. An actual skin that can transmog on your gearset like the store skins I mean. Shards are meh if they are going to add elite level play dungeons.
Eh? I get damage buffs, haste buffs, and have a couple ref evasion pieces from dodge and I also cant really take a hit in a dungeon so I will disagree with that.
light tank is fun. they just need to have a separate stamina bar for blocks
True. Maybe they could make a cosmetic umbral shop and the prices would be so high that it would be extremely difficult to buy them with a regular m10 income of umbral.
Unlock tiers of them by completing m10+x

Oh yeah. I like that better actually. That way people that arent as skilled can take a long time to work towards the rewards while people that are skilled can get them fairly easy.

Yeah there might have been cheaper ones. I just said 100k because someone in my company recently got the lost bane trophy drop and he got 100k for it.
this is exactly what they should do. i dont know why its so hard to just follow what other games have done and have been successful with.
challenge modes in wow rewarded transmog sets that were only available to people who completed difficult pve.
in my experience as a melee in both, you have to dodge in both pve and pvp to be somewhat successful.

Stop developing PvE.
Fix PvP and put actual resources into making one thing great. It’s clear PvE is good enough, additionally you can never make them happy it’s just constantly developing new content that as soon as you release it is outddated. The issue is that ultimately in PvE you are designing an encounter that the gamer is supposed to complete, but feel like it’s trying to stop you from completing it. It’s basically a trick once you learn the trick the content is played out. Imagine if those mobs had brains and were actually trying to stop you.

PvP at least has replayability (opponents have a brain) so lets see lots of little balance changes each week. I want to see more fine tuning and less behind the scenes coding. Less big splashy changes each month with the ptr and some finer adjustments regularly.
Agreed. I’m confused as to why they don’t add small tuning to these patches. It’s been said multiple times yet they don’t.
That is one thing I agree with. They should be doing small balance tweaks weekly. Instead of huge chainsaw changes every couple months.
If OPR didnt give Umbral for Gear the amount of players would even be less. It hardly pops now even with the combined servers. PvP is not the niche of the game even when 3v3 comes out. It might get some players coming back to check it out, but it will be dead like OPR within 2 months.
spoiler: opr isnt the kind of pvp all players want.
in fact it gets kind of boring only finding your source of pvp strictly through opr. and the rewards are pretty meh.
arena 3v3 is nice but they missed an oppurtunity for it to be spectated. im not sure why they didnt make it like the sirens ARENA, and let it be spectated by everyone in the area.
and you are correct, 3v3 arena isnt enough to hold people to playing this game long term.
so i repeat PvE is important, the numbers, not so much.

I disagree with this statement, so much so, that my family, friends and me have stopped playing because the game is balanced around PvP.
would you like to explain why, or have any other argument other than no, ?

Each combat balance change has been aimed at balancing PvP, however it has reduced the enjoyment from a PvE perspective.
Nerfs to weapon effectiveness, reduced healing, reduced CC, while mobs remain untouched and are able to stagger lock you leads to a very unpleasant experience.
I use to play a heavy healer, with the latest PTR changes I just flat out quit. I’m not going to regear to light healer. Even if the changes don’t go through I’m not sure if I will come back, because balancing PvP and PvE combat solely around one style of combat is not how you balance combat in an MMO.
Due to the rest of my group having to also deal constantly with these changes we have decided to move to something else.
