Being in a faction that owns territories still has reduced costs/pricing/taxes, plus any benefits that forts give that your faction owns, increased xp while in the owned territories, and a few others.
The storage was more of a ‘ugh great purple owns everything, oh well not like I can do anything about it, I dont get into wars’ or ‘i dont want to pvp, im a pve player’
^ this means storage (which pve players arguably suffer from the most) is no longer a stress or annoyance in the game for them
They should instead focus on incentives to fight for your own faction (rewards) rather than punishments that lower a players enjoyment especially when a lot of players often can do little to nothing change it unless they’re in the top 1% of the playerbase.
it would of been fine in the context of a super hard core bull shit wank off survival game where running around to diffrent out posts to sell your wares and properly stored things meant anything.
but that is dead.
its a dead concept and absolutly dead for a mass appeal game that amazon (company) probably wanted
sure the original design team might of wanted to go through with that but it didnt work. it wasnt going to work.
that sort of game is super niche. and i love it i would love to play that game. but it aint happening.
Oh hell no. Every 5 minutes… you are dying of thirst. You are hungry… eat something. You walked two feet, you are thirsty. You picked a flower, you are hungry. You cant eat that food… its 10 minutes old now so you just poisoned yourself for 3 days real time.
Not only no, HELL no! 900k players have quit the game because of godawful things like this, and we’re barely starting to turn it around- dumbol ideas like this will sink the ship for good.
The game is full of penalties already. Bots and bugs. If your goal is to drive what few players are left away. Go for it, the only people left will be back to complaining about no one to play with.
Look at how fast the game went south after AGS allowed players to raise GS from chest runs and craft gear upgrades, then adds expertise into the game and nerfs crafting. penalizing new players. So yeah people want to play the game, but only enough to fill a couple of servers.
With how cheap azoth is now de-linking would just be a time sink forcing players to warp around to collect and deposit where they wanted. Youd have to remove the QoL improvements they gave us.
Its pretty obvious that the player base is stabalizing and slowly showing growth that the harsh survival styles systems only served to drive players away. Those are tenable for an mmo.
That is true, I’m always all the time capped in Azoth now. Maybe they could change to reset our attributes to be Azoth cost instead of gold like we do for the weapon skill trees!
No, at least 800k players left the game cause they firstly came for the first month following streamers hype. That’s how video games works mostly nowadays. First hype for a few weeks. Then dies off as streamers community gets over kt and go to the next fast food game
