I play as a gatherer and crafter most of my time, but after the server merge it is phreaking impossible to find any resources to extract. The merge literally has made it so my preferred way of playing is a massive headache and an enormous time sink.
I understand it’s better for the game in general, but as a crafter it’s gone from pretty grindy to almost impossible to have fun anymore. Not sure what the solution for this is? I’m actually thinking of switching to a low pop server just so I can continue with what I like to do.
Yes, it’s a double edged sword. I feel you, as a gatherer myself. After merges it’s much more difficult to find uncontested spots. At the same time, the economy is much more vibrant and you can actually make decent money selling cooldowns for example.
I have no definite answer to this. On one hand I like that the server is much more active and full of activities right now. On the other hand, I hate that my favorite farming spots and routes are mobbed.
I think there is a balance there. There is no point in crafting without being able to buy the resources you need and these resources are cheaper in high pop servers.
On the other hand gathering is slower. I would advice you to find your own routes and avoid the popular ones
I would add to the list of problems the fact that less active servers(where, moreover, are the remains of dupes) are weeks behind high-pop servers - companies from “worse” servers will have a fucking problem winning the land war -
it is a huge gap in equipment

Imagine some drones genuinely defend this scam of a “game” by saying shit like this xD
