Just as the title says, dumb that this is needed and ill try my best to voice my opinion. So it makes sense.
You need a ton of stuff to make 595-600GS items and even then you’re not gonna get 600 but like 1/10 pieces crafted. Asmo, Runic Leather, Phoenixweave, full crafting outfit, have to wait for the territory company to activate town buff, all major crafting trophies (which some arent cheap, take armoring for example, each tool set is 60k each. Buy the trophy out right for almost 80k.), and food buff.
Again, the best possible for a might get 600 or might not, usually not seeing as the chance is slim to none.
You need timeless shards to be locked in at either making STR, CON, DEX, FOC, or INT only sets. God forbid if you want to craft a barbarian set or knight.
Sure you can use scarabs and craft a piece with 2 perks but that potential 3rd perk might be something you dont even need like divine embrace or some other stupid shit on heavy platelegs… NOBODY NEEDS ANYTHING HAVING TO DO WITH HEALING ON HEAVY EQUIPMENT, seeing as heavy gets a -30% reduction to healing…
Everything is cooldown locked, can only craft 10 of each of the legendary craft mats a day, unless you buy off market for 200 gold a piece for whatever you need.
Runestone stopwatches brings that up to 598-600, too bad you’re locked in at only being able to craft CON gear and only allowed to select one perk. So now thats good and all if you want to build CON but you still have the potential to get perks you dont need. Even more you are still next to none on hitting 600. Crafted 10 stopwatch armor pieces only got 2 legendary’s…
Can only craft one stopwatch a day, but requires 500 umbral shards to craft just the one. All this locked behind cooldowns is dumb considering the little payout to crafting what it is you wanted.
Not a lot of recipes for crafting named gear worth a damn and if you want to craft replica’s you need a lot of materis plus mutated materia…
Ward and Bane should be allowed on the same set. Hell you cant even craft them onto pieces that give damage reduction to blight or corruption.
All and all im tired of the limitations when the potential to be better is there, just locked behind a wall of impenetrable shit. Hoops upon hoops just to squish your hopes and dreams. That is why I for one am done with this game, not because armor classes are ass, range is overpowered, mages are underpowered, light armor is whacking me in the face for 5k damage. This is shit I can deal with, would be nice to craft some gear to prevent this but nope Im supposed to get reamed and enjoy it. If I hop back on ill be sure to take my shoes off at the door, drop my pants, and bend over the couch for ya AGS.
One of the main issue to me about crafting is there is no Breaking Item in game, so we can t have a roll out items
This is why everything are becoming cheaper and useless !
New World made a ton of recipe and a ton of crafting in order to BREAK, that s why there is a Resistance Gear on each item. But once again, people are too attach to their Gear and their Pixel Items so they can t see what the game could be globally !
I’m just done with rolling trash regardless. Two perks I can select myself, cool, to bad I’m still stuck in using a ton of locked behind cooldown resources and buffs to craft out a purple…
IMO the only way that works is if it becomes way easier to craft what you want.
For example with current crafting I’ve spent 2m+ to get a handful of bis crafts for my builds. If those break after use I’m uninstalling.
If however I can craft it again with say a 50 percent chance of getting it again then fine.
For now though one thing is true, and that’s how bad the gold sink is for crafters (especially solo crafters like myself). What a reward for leveling and getting all trophies and gear.
What if an Item have 3000 Durability point put them at 10000 but doesn t lose any durability when dying but when the item is broke it s broke once for all and the only way to sell item at Trade Post would be to sell Item at Full Resistance Point
So the thing with crafting, now, is that we spend all this time crafting BiS. But again, we have to fight like hell just to possibly roll into what it is we are looking for and stuck behind cooldowns or forced to buy off market when we only have 2k gold in our accounts at all time from buying resources instead of fighting bots. Nothing breaks completely and if they made crafting easier with the off chance of the item breaking completely it makes repair parts or repair kits useful. Hardly ever have to repair armor as is, no one crafts repair kits, and even then easily repaired when have to be just using gold and the repair parts. Been at 2k repair parts since launch and one WT I get the I am at my limit message just by salvaging the million green and blue items I get and thats after repairing my armor using just parts and gold for the past week
After accumulating a decent gold stash I went on a crafting spree this morning and crafted 41 Amulets with Scarabs to try craft my BIS or near BIS.
I crafted 41 Amulets and rolled ONE horrible Legendary. - 500k down the drain after months of saving.
What a terrible let down with such a shit system after spending so much money acquiring the skill, housing x 3, trophys, gear sets and months of accumulating the gold to try roll somethgin decent.
Developers need to implement a fail safe system to stop such horrible RNG.
