AGS needs to make healing AOEs a channeling skill like meteor shower.
Remove the tab targetting
remove the auto targetting
make the skill miss if his target is in iframe.
double single target healing skill CD and mana cost
reduces its healing amount by 50%
Then lifestaff will be on par with all other wep.
I personally don’t think healing should make you be able to face tank everything like in PvE content. We’re not dungeon bosses and can’t output that kind of damage. Healing should do just that heal you not make you some kind of juggernaut god.

Yep, LS is broken and has been overpowered for a long time.
Since LS is so OP, the only builds actually capable of reliably killing healers (ice spike, oblivion, sns, etc.) steamroll anything else so they get nerfed, while LS remains untouched (or even buffed as of a few months ago).
Entomb will gain Mana cost and no longer have a total cleanse
Ice Storm, Shockwave, Gravity Well and Oblivion will lose their massive radius in favor of matching up to Sacred’s 3m
Flamethrower will have an actual mana drain, will gain a flat cooldown and gain a proper movement penalty
Shockwave will no longer be able to inflict 4 debuffs
Gravity well will require a charge time.
Weapons will no longer have multiple debuffs, rather each weapon will have a unique application of a Singular debuf.
Heavy attacks will cost Stamina
Holding the bow drawn will consume stamina per second.
The Rapier will only activate riposte on physical attacks losing it’s immunity to the entire game.
Damage & Healing will be removed from armor
Armor will only for mitigation & mobility. Meaning light will be the fastest but have no protection, medium will have average protections and heavy will be slowest but strongest protection.
Health potions will be increased to a 3 minute cooldown
Debuffs will have diminishing returns
Since time and time again, healers, and good players have pointed out the tools, methods, builds in running healer hunter archetypes that you the anti-support players dismiss, and repeat the exact same parrot bullshit it will always be no matter how much you repeat the same tune
A weapon with: 0 Escape, 0 Debuff, 0 Stuns, 0 Roots, 0 Slows, 0 Rends, 0 Weakens, 0 Staggers, with a clunky pitiful U.I, subjected to nerfs since launch, forced into a singular play style, that can only run 1 weapon to survive in a meta saturated by sweaty KDA obsessed players is the source of all you healer haters. But ya’ll perfectly fine having the above CC, AOE, and combative firepower that requires no effort to even land any of the above.
Even if ags nerfs healers to the point they’re melee, and must be physically touching players to heal them. Posts like these, will still show up. Because games shouldn’t be balanced around weaker players.
I am a PVE healer, i do not PVP because its not my thing, never has been.
I have been a healer since day 1 and trust me when i say how much it sucks to level this weapon.
No damage, limited heals and the cooldowns were a yawnfest.
I would say, you dont get any real benefit from the healing until at least level 10 and even then the damage is still under powered. So another weapon is essential.
It seems to me all the nerfs are due to PVP players “feedback” It has become harder and harder to heal in many high level areas and expeditions. So i can see how every healer has had to adjust their build to survive in a PVP situation.
Healers may seem hard to kill because of the heals we can use but trust me when i say it can be done.
All weapons should be balanced separately for PVE & PVP. I am not sure how this can be done easily but maybe PVE & PVP specific weapons could be the way to go.
Also weapons designed to be used in both situations could be slightly less effective but have a desirable perk so as not to be overlooked completely as an option. Similar to the great sword abilities where you give up health for damage.
Please stop asking for more nerfs because some day you will need us to save your tush and we wont be there

you dont even need to time or aim your healing abilites, as it never would miss due to iframe.
Simply ignores iframe, which is core to the action combat, is just hacking.
tab targeting ingores aiming/tracking/physical contact, which is core to the action combat, is another hacking.
auto targeting heal allys witin 100 m , ingores aiming, which is also core to the action combat, is another hacking again.
with musket aimbot, u still have to aim, and can not do dmg while target in iframe.
with the heck staff, you dont need to aim, and u ignore the iframe, and its auto targeting in 100m.

This is a big thing LS-defenders don’t seem to understand. Healers are playing a fundamentally different game as everything in new world is action combat except LS, which is an easy tab-target stick.
This isn’t like other mmos where your “max burst combo” is just pressing your number keys. You have to get the right distance, timing, and aim, and at any point they can dodge. If any of those are off, you miss.
Meanwhile, heals are tab-target and will never ever miss. As a result, LS has a very low skill ceiling and disproportionately rewards mediocre play.
To humor this topic, the trade-offs are line of sight and cast range.
The flag in the middle of a point in war will cause line of sight to your target.
3 stairs in the arenas can cause line of sight to your target.
If your target bends over to tie their shoe laces, it would likely be abline of sight issue.
Cast range is not infinite or healer would sit in spawn/fort/ww and just spam heals.
This forces healers to be closer where they are vulnerable to execute the cast.
Splash of light only heals the 5 in your group and for a fraction of the other skills.
The only two currently used skills that snap are DE and SG with most free placing SG because the latch is unreliable.
So that leaves just one, DE. The rest of the skills require aiming.
Regarding the “low skill ceiling” comment above which imo is ignorant to the other skills the game offers which are easy with high value.
This has been mentioned time again by people who dont understand the kit.
Yes, pushing the button on a selected target is easy but so is flame thrower, so is ice storm, so is trhowing a grav at a clump of people.
The evidence is that mages often place high on the board for high damage numbers or “stat padding”.
