Could be a 1h mace or hammer to go with a more fantasy Cleric/Paladin archetype. Maybe some kind of non specific “holy symbol” held in the hand? What would be interesting is if it could be paired with a Shield. The tears would drown Aeternum.
What I am also wondering is if it will be powerful enough on its own to not require a life staff? And if it is… what if you pair it with the feel good stick?
Really hope it not a gauntlet. The ice and void gauntlet feel so incredibly uncreative. You can’t see them when sheathed (except a stupid ring on your pants) and the skins are pretty much worthless because of how they appear when wielded.
U know that every new released weapon in all games, including New World, are STRONG at beginning. Nerfs/fixed are coming within couple weeks or few months.
People still cry about healers now … wait to see when new weapon will be released the rivers of tears.
Yeah but it’ll also be focus. It might be totally useless as a self buffing weapon depending on what the skills actually do. Might not be able to self target/might not be some kind of external buff(will not persist through swapping)
Hmmm I must be in the minority because I would love to see a Staff based on Focus and Dex for a monk build. Focus for self heals and buffs and dex for damage. We already have master martial artist dodging all over the place so why not give them a weapon that actually goes with what they are doing.
I hope it will be an focus/strength mace, to bring back the paladin healer.
Mace might have passives that strengthen your shield and armor stat, to mitigate for the lose of healing debuff on heavy.
I’d like to see a Nature staff. Get a Focus-based “Druid” vibe going for it.
I’d like to see mace and shield only after they separate shield from sword into one hand weapons and off hand weapons.
Main one-hand: sword, hatchet, or mace
Off hand: shield or some other weapon like a dual wield spec: dual swords, sword and dagger, dual hatchets, dual maces, dual pistols, dual daggers, sword and pistol, hatchet and sword, etc. Lots of combination options.
And let Shield be a Constitution-based off hand weapon (great for tanks anyway with their high Constitution), but definitely using a shield for a more ‘tanky’ build.
