Update on the "desync team"?

In the dev update video from january, AGS mentioned that they had a dedicated team working solely on the desync issues in the game and that desync was their #1 priority. We didn’t hear any updates on this in the newest dev video update from a couple of days ago, so I’m asking here: Can we get an update on this? Does the team still exist? Can we expect fixes to desync in the coming weeks, or maybe in the march update?

Guessing the problems at Lost Ark has desynced the desync team as there is more responsibility there.

This is my nrº1 concern as well.

Their silence probably means they are clueless how to improve or fix it :face_vomiting: , since we saw them brag about fixing random bugs during the video, i’ll assume they would defiantly brag about fixing this 1 that is clearly affecting everyone’s gameplay and cannot be ignored by players :smiling_face_with_tear:.

Desync is the single biggest issue I have with the game. I can deal with most other stuff, but constantly dealing with lag/desync feels absolutely horrible, especially when PvP is my favorite part of the game.

The fact that desync wasn’t even mentioned in the latest dev video definitely worries me

What I basically got from the dev video is “hey, we haven’t given up on the game” but don’t expect monthly big changes anymore. Some issues need more than just 1 month of work.

On top of that, next month is Isabella Lair + Blunderbuss, so everything else has even less priority

Dodging desync topic without even a mention or an update whereas it is the biggest combat experience killer during wars and oprs , quiet disturbing

Desyncs will ruin all other improvement made as it is the first thing you during fights…

I think this is on purpose for some “good” reasons… right ?

One alarming thing I found from the video was how they mentioned they resolved over a thousand bugs and then went on to beam about how they think they can do another period of bug fixes and take care of as many or more bugs next time.

My only thought was “there are seriously THOUSANDS of bugs to fix in this game?”

Hard to say if they are dodging the topic on purpose or not. It is very possible, but we just don’t know.

I will say this though: If they are struggling to fix it, I would rather have them just say so instead of being dead silent about the whole issue.

Yeah that concerned me heavily. He said they fixed like 1350 bugs, and hopes to fix the same or even more bugs next time around… there are this many known bugs? Holy shit

Yeah I really don’t understand how they don’t talk about the game crushing issues that are making people leave the game. Go into detail what your plans are for these issues. The bugs they were talking about were ones that people do not care about at all, like wrong text or items on the TP that don’t exist. Everything just seems so hollow with these explanations, their explanation on luck would be a good example of that.

They should have talked about desync. Are you still fixing it, how much progress have you made, how long will it take to fix. How was their no talk of the movement bug either. These are the 2 game destroying bugs that everyone talks about and somehow they didn’t bring either of them up when talking about their bug fix patch, no they decided to talk about removing unnecessary items from the TP bug.

Their refusal to talk about anything exciting is also confusing to me. They could be hyping upcoming features, or dropping hints about things to come. But they play their cards so close to their chest and refuse to share anything it makes people have no hope or anything to be excited for.

I think them admitting to not reading the forums and using a bot to identify “hot issues” definitely is a huge red flag. They admit to having no interaction with the actual community, only things a bot notifies them is an issue.

Desinc problem comes with skills that prevent movement or skill execution, like roots, knockdowns and silence. It happens usually with gravity well, VG scream, IG shower and also in pve when some debuffs appear like silence, and you trigger some skills inside of it in same time the debuff is activated, the skill is executed but no damage is done and you are stuck in the animation, than you exit the silence and cd of the skill is not spent so you can use it again. So my opinion is that usually using skills in same time of activating silence or dogging and using skills in wells, screams and showers in exact same time while getting cc-ed bring this problems.

Well. To be certain most of those bugs are stuff like fixing floating piles of rocks.

Comon, the problem got even worst in this patch, it so frustating as it was a patch focused on Outpost Rush.

The enemies are on the attack range but do not get hit. My character is far away from a skill, then it comes back to it.

My ping is frequent on 30ms, and on LoL for example is with 10-11ms.

It Begin with void gautlet update, it screwed the game, that why everyone leave

I wonder if it has to do with how many instances of OPR/War/Dungeons there are at the same time. Maybe its their instance servers that cant handle it.

Yeah idk what they did with the void gauntlet patch but the desync got a lot worse after that. OPR used to run pretty smoothly before that patch
