After seeing AGS’s roadmap for 2022, I would like to give some suggestions that I feel would drastically improve the game and bring people back.
FIX THE COMBAT. No more lag, desync, attacks canceled from autos, random abilities going off, etc. Revert gravity well and nerf ice shower, etc.
Encourage small scale pvp (3v3 arenas) and improve war performance more.
DO NOT ADD MORE EXPEDITIONS. There’s enough pve that has been added with mutations and it’s not good content. Meet gear score requirements = clear dungeon is not a good system. Stop looking at WOW for content ideas. NW’s beautiful open world is being destroyed by instanced expeditions.
Add naval combat. Tons of the washed ashore ships are so cool to run around and explore (especially the 3 level ones). This would be a great feature to have. Naval combat/exploration is very appealing to mmo players.
Add trade packs like in archeage to help open world pvp and to encourage world exploration.
Add new high level end game zones where you have to have corruption resistance to survive and have it as a pvp only zone with new resources/ drops to temper existing gear. Mimic the open world combat BDO encouraged with their mob farming spots. Or like Hasla did in AA.
Remove the ability for guilds to remove gold from guild banks. Instead allow that gold to be used only to improve the territory/ make territory changes and buy guild ships.
Make BIS gear easier to get to encourage multiple off-specs. This can be done through any of the above mentioned methods.
Many of the PvE players left because the lack off end game dungeons… More so left because of the gear score requirements who didn’t want to do the crappy zergs or repeat said dungeon 842390 times.
I think they should make a free period, say for a week or two. If a ship is sinking it needs to have the power to bail out the water flooding in. In a similar way the game needs to bail out the action of sinking with more population.
This is where you lost me. You do not realize how difficult it is to add naval combat. I remember listening to a developer talk about this, and how hard it actually is, and my TLDR from the talk was “anyone wasting time on naval combat, is just wasting time”.
I agree/disagree here. I actually want Mutations from some of the other Expeditions. I would love a Amrine or Starstone or both but Mutated at LVL 60.
They should re-make all dungeons as Mutations and then let us run whatever Mutation we want, at any time.
I actually enjoy mutations and the added mechanics to them. Sure the super strict GS scaling is kinda lame, but I also get why they did it… Its a way to increase the GS cap, without making it DRASTIC (like 650 or 700) but then allowing 600s to just roll m10s would also be trolled all over the internet about how the content isnt hard enough. So how do you create a system that doesnt invalidate all prior gear, wont cause massive PVP gear gap, but still be a “challenge” to PVE players - GS scaling…
