I read through these forums and it said to send a request to Steam to refund the game then recharge it. I tried that and they refused to refund it because it had been over two days. Could you please add an option on your steam page to pay for the upgrade?
We are not allowed to cancel the game and reorder it as you are suggesting in several areas of this website.
PLEASE. Contact steam and find a way to fix this. They made me wait 5 days only to say they can’t refund the game to allow me to purchase it again. Then they closed the ticket without even waiting for a response.
It’s a simple fix. Add an offer on your page for a $10 upgrade (DLC).

Thanks for the feedback the option for the moment is indeed to refund the game, if the refund is denied there is not much to be done to upgrade the game. I will surely take the feedback for the future.
Thank you for the reply. The option to refund for the Deluxe version gets lost on Steam. The replies (after days of waiting) are just canned responses. I don’t think they are even reading that we want to refund so we can purchase the Deluxe version. We are instead given the canned response of the game not being eligible for a refund after 48 hours.
Perhaps if your customer service were to speak to them it would help?
