URGENT: Server merges are needed ASAP

We want server merges ASAP. Thank you.

LoL, we are 50-100 players peak since november in Lamian. Imagine how we playing.

The thing is my server was the host for the whole world set that got folded in before Xmas. Kw we see 200-350 online since the mutation patch. It’s dying. They aren’t doing cross world merges and we have no one left to merge with.
Only way through for us is to transfer to a bigger server in AP

If they cared, merges would have already happened for most servers. If they cared, they would have put a priority on fixing the housing bug that stopped them.

They don’t care.

This is the answer.

@Luxendra my server Kabatakan was the host for the whole world set from what I understand this means there is no one else to merge with and the only way is transfer which a lot of us can’t do as we used our tokens to leave other dead servers. Kabatakan server is almost dead now. People stopped playing, tonight was around 250 players. People in discord are literally wondering what to do and playing other games.

The only way is for new tokens to be released for servers like ours that can not be merged any further (unless there is a way to cross world set merge).
It’s getting worse each week. We need help

Vanaheim LUX server set was merged into perseus sever, total 7 servers were involved. On my server Vicina we had 250player peek almost 3months ago, and now we are back at the same lever. After the merge, we were at 1.2k peeks… Feels like we have come full circle and on 180ppl peek again. Everyone I have played with have left this game and as much as I want to enjoy and try to hold on I have started shifting away, while on occasion coming to do some dungeon runs/wars/invasions. Kept defending Newworld, but now I just don’t know what to say after the last massive player drop. MMO just cannot be fun without other players.

Everyone, including AGS knows this is a cluster; everything just snowballed.

They were almost too successful in the beginning where they had to devote a ton of resources to managing the high demand and resultant issues->then duping issues-> which meant they weren’t able to stay on other bugs/bots->people leaving due to the aforementioned->now have to managing server merges (which had significant bugs)->more people leaving and a more urgent need.

The good news is the ridiculous number of copies sold (people still own the game); so they just have to get it together and entice enough people back/build some momentum

So you think all 290 are wanting to do OPR? Are you kidding me? Let’s see. Bots. People doing mutations. People leveling. People farming. People doing portals. People doing chest runs. 290 is a very small pop and the fact you think OPR is something everyone wants to do over everything I mentioned? LMAO. I have seen people post about long OPR queues when there are a lot more than 290 people on.

You troll

I feel you. The game is dying. There are only so many bandaids that they can put on gushing wounds. They spent too much time not listening to people and believing in their archaic game model. They spent too much time not taking action to bleeding servers. They spent too much time ignoring the economy system, ignoring the bots, ignoring the exploiters and dupers.

Too much time focusing on extending grinds and adding arbitrary numbers to slow people down. Too much time coming up with more convoluted systems to make sure everyone had to funnel through time gated dungeons to remain competitive in gear and slow all but the 1% down.

Instead they could have focused on giving us fun, meaningful, rewarding content that people would want to play and enjoy. This could have been an amazing game but they blew it and ruined it.

I can only speak for NA West, but in reality all we really need is 1 maybe 2 servers here. I’m sure the same could be said for NA East and EU, but more around 2-3 servers each. Most players that are still around such as myself can probably contribute a big factor to their server being healthy player count wise. This contributes to better competition and overall activities such as wars, OPR, chest runs, social aspects, etc.

Merge all this shit fast, players are leaving, no friends to play, no outpost, no good wars… no co-op to do missions… bah

just some more:

no crafters to make the market good.
cheap itens become very very very expensive

@Luxendra @NW_Mugsy @Kay @HardcoreHenry @TheLawRich

first merge, then update anything or game will die, since theres no one to play the updates

Feels like giving out another round of transfer tokens could alleviate a lot this panic.

They are, rest assured. Haven’t you seen the latest additions to the cash shop?

I’m sure you are all very aware that 2000 players can be on a server at one time before queues. This has not happened since launch back in September. AGS is very capable of merging/combining 3-5 low populated servers together to attain at least 1500/2000 for a total of 10 world set servers across US East. The rest of the 500 player spots could be for transfers and or extra fills. You can take three 500 peak (meaning the most players online on that day and consecutively) populated servers and merge into one. Early evening around 6pm-12am is usually the peak hours for majority of players.

US East servers are in shambles, on a good day, some servers who are not like Eden, are well below 400 players during peak hours (plus we know bots take up at least 10% of server pop anyway) and those ā€œonlineā€ numbers are inflated due to bots. Merges need to happen rather sooner than later and it would be a huge mistake if they wait after the next update.

Suggestively, I would merge servers two weeks prior to the launch of the next upcoming patch, this way, AGS can resolve any issues before the patch goes live so players can get their affairs in order, settle in a new/existing settlement, start or join a company, ect. The more active players you have in a server, the ā€œhealthierā€ playing with others can be so it does not feel like a ghost town each day when players log in. I believe the health of a server as populated like of Eden does make the game worth logging into and playing knowing there’s always going to be players online at any given time that are always active. With some US East servers, this is the ladder of the situation.
