Very Important Company Member banned incorrectly

This is actually a very valid point. I think more information needs to be provided, but he himself should provide that information; that said, I don’t think he is currently able to post on the forums himself (due to the ban). I will ask his permission and provide his character name and the server once he gives that permission.

well done, so do they, they can see where gold has come from or if it’s been duped. So the ban is for a reason! Spending lots of gold isn’t a bannable offence laundering gold from duping probably is.

The issue is the team member that hits the ban button doesn’t always do his job (if said person even exists). Yes, Amazon has logs, but when the dude is given 30 secs to make a decision, I doubt he thoroughly looked at anything.

Amazon does not have a perfect track record when it comes to banning and appealing. Have you guys not seen bans that have been reversed?

They are tons of bans being reversed. You can look up more examples yourself. All I am saying is FALSE POSITIVES do exist. If the ban team or automated ban is perfect, no one should be unbanned am I right? And if you look into each of those posts? What do they say? Appealing is a damn nightmare and took 2 weeks or so.

I got that exact email about my “Ban appeal” even tho I was appealing for a warning removal due to mass reporting.

After 7 attempts, I found someone that was willing to help and reviewed the reports, eventually got the warning removed.

Just keep trying (If you are innocent).

Lets get this man an actual appeal. Amazon using algorithms to ban people has been seen/proven and now a guild treasurer gets tagged.

If they are hiring people for the ban reviews, I will apply. Because, holy cow, I could do a better job.

nvm guys we were wrong the whole time they review all appeals manually and the process definitely isn’t automated

I was also blocked by mistake. I’ve been trying to figure it out for over a week. The appeal is absolutely useless.

Please remove the ban on our guildmate. Moving large amounts of coin or goods should auto flag for investigation, not auto permaban.

@TrevzorFTW I’ve got the copy and pasted reply about bans asking about a tradepost issue when contacting support. Please have someone look into this.

Perma ban SHOULD NOT be an automated process–you can flag on an automated basis, but a computer should not be able to permanently ban a player just because he’s funneled resources and is crafter for 100+ players… AMAZON FIX THIS NOW, this has happened to so many players

It’s not right to have wide-sweeping bans, that will inevitably affect innocent players, only to have automated or copy/paste generic responses to appeals that also basically state “We can’t/won’t tell you why you were banned and don’t talk to us again”. That is a completely inappropriate, and frankly lazy, way to operate any form of punishment system.

This player in particular is someone who spends far more of their time helping others than they do trying to further their own progress. They are constantly promoting positivity in the community, making sure everyone has a voice, and is a reliable and trusted friend to those around them.

It is hard to imagine that this the only occurrence of a situation involving these circumstances. Even if those responsible for the ban believe it to be a just disciplinary action, refusing to discuss the reasoning (or have any pertinent discussion for that matter) is simply bad form. Why bother implementing a process for appeal? If instances such as the one being discussed here is the standard, this game will continue with the seemingly inexorable banning of honest players that bring positive value to the game’s population while providing no proper course to rectify punishments received in error.

Perma-bans shouldn’t be handled by an automated system. If anything, the account should be flagged for manual review. In a game where companies generate a large sum of coin from owning territories, it’s perfectly reasonable for one person in that company to act as a treasurer; handling the distribution of and purchases made with that coin.

100% agree, if amazon doesn’t fix this it’ll kill the game–literally perma banning their most dedicated players

dude, one of our guild’s crafter got perma’d with the entire treasury in storage / bags–only automated responses from amazon, shit makes me wanna quit

Hello guys, as game support we dont have any insight to in-game moderation. To clarify we don’t have any automated system that dispenses bans to players. To prevent further discussion or speculation, I will be closing this thread but I will forward this feedback to that team.
