Very low fps after patch

I have been running this game with around 30 fps until the winter convergence patch went live, now im literally running at between 2 and 5 fps. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the latest gpu drivers, uninstalled and redownloded the game, updated and recovered windows, maxed out virtual memory, gone through every optimization I can find, deleted the save files and reopened. Literally everything I can think of, any other ideas- running hp omen with i7 9700 cpu, 32 gb ram, gtx 1660ti gpu

Even the opening screen is running around 2 FPS

Hello @Ace8800,

I’m sorry your experiencing a drastic frame rate drop after the patch.

Since this is a major patch few of the players are experiencing issues after it went live however most of the issues are addressed with time so I would suggest you to wait for sometime before trying it again.

I see you already tried some troubleshooting steps to no avail, i would also recommended few more steps listed in this link below -

If the issue still persists reply back to this post so that we can further escalate it.

Happy Holidays :christmas_tree:

Cheers!

I got the exact same issue except GPU is a 2070. Checked everything, all updated. Low FPS only started with winter convergence patch. Guess we just wait as suggested…

It’s a bit extreme for a fix but I think mine was a windows issue, I actually completely reinstalled windows 10- and now it’s running better than it ever had- clean install on graphics drivers and game as well

Just made a separate post, my issue was another app conflicting with the GPU being Citrix Workspace. Once I uninstalled Citrix, massive improvement and best its been since game install.

I had a very similar low fps problem. I did everything they asked me to do (uninstall, verify files, etc) and nothing worked. I then thought I would plug my laptop into the router with an ethernet cable instead of going wireless to see if I could play that way and it solved my problem! I don’t know if it reset my ethernet adapter or what but I’m playing fine now with 60fps. (I’m not plugged into the router anymore, just wired into a powerline extender.) Good luck!

Same issue, never had a problem before, since the winter patch though game lag like nothing before frame drops. I set all my settings to medium and its better but what changed?!?!

Hello @Ace8800 @azmodanbeguile @Ziantha @Arakz! How are you doing today?

I’m very thankful you allow us to know how you fixed the FPS issue. I’m sure it will help several players with the same issue.

Enjoy your weekend, stay safe! :christmas_tree:

Hello @azmodanbeguile! Welcome to the New World community!

I really appreciate your participation on this post!

I must say I’m very concerned about your issue, just to clarify, is your game still running low FPS? If does it, have you try any of the fixes provided by the players here?

Hope I can here from you soon!

Just thought it was odd after a patch… found out all my video settings were off… reset to max? Also doubled my memory and it got better.

Still odd a patch jacked up all my settings. Maybe something to check if you have a problem.
