I’ve been playing around with this build in OPR and finally had the chance to try it out in a few wars…and I was surprised at how well it performed. While it’s less bursty than a Pillar of Fire build, the consistency of the flamethrower output adds up QUICKLY on targets and lets you chain put pressure on anyone next to you and be in the thick of the fray. It’s also great at chasing targets and playing cleanup crew (not letting people escape). It’s a different way of thinking about damage and works great on this clump meta.
STAT DISTRO (depends on the clip) :
350 int / 150 con, and sometimes 300 int / 200 con
I’ve tried this before pre-patch and the downside is, if you’re pressured or actively targeted (from dive teams or people that have your number), your effectiveness goes down a lot, since you’re an easy target and you get staggered.
It is really effective when engagements are setup for you, such as in your clips where the majority of them are under some form of CC.
I imagine it’s also more effective in defense than offense.
I don’t understand everyone’s need to post meta builds.
If the whole other side ran this and burned your face off you would be posting fire mage balance issues.
I keep stuff to myself … maybe if others did the game wouldn’t be so lopsided but hey … it’s all about views, smashing that like button, and internet points.
I’m confused, this is very NON meta, I’m usually the only one in war or OPR running this. It’s a fun build, but mage diversity is key in war. Scatter in some pillar mages and some void mages to get the best bang for your buck. A flamethrower or two is nice for added pressure, but stacking them wouldn’t make any sense (like bruisers).
OPR is all ranged now you act like this is four months ago when there was you know … players that could think for themselves and maybe not follow the herd.
OPR is literally all fire mages and muskets.
I’m the only bruiser when I play getting endless rooted and exploded.
Good video man … how about you do one with a tank. Spice it up.
Ya…not sure what this @britny_fox guy is talking about. These big servers have heavy bruiser presence. The wombo combo of grav well + maelstrom is really stupid right now.
