Since you guys are nuking the damage of orb by 40% or so… and orb already has a bad perk since nullifying oblivion is superior… … may we have a utility trade off? get rid of our crappy perk and replace it with something like…
“deaths embrace” all characters hit by orb, now transfer 1 buff off of themselves to the caster for 10 seconds. (pve monster buffs as well)
That would make orbs perk not the red headed step child of nullifying oblivion.
The sword and shield already have an ability to steal buffs- so it shouldn’t be to much of a coding / time issue
OR since rupture and tether are so incredibly hard to hit with…

Orb now applies Tether/rupture to all enemies hit/detonated upon.
or something like that to make ranged feel like it has something. i’d take both.
no one I know…knows why orb was nerfed. this change…just pushes more people towards the melee side of the tree.
VG does more dps than great axe and has the most well rounded perks and gear perks… it was due for a nerf… it was to heavy upon release. I just got mine to 20 and have no issues landing so I would just recommend landing better. There’s a reason 3/4 of OPR is VG/IG…
well apparently they are essentially taking void gauntlet away from magic users and giving it to great axe users. x.x new meta is Great axe void gauntlet. Gravity well-> )1 second root and pull+slow multiple people-> scream-> nullifying oblivion+empowered rupture (+50% damage and removes buffs/heals)-> maelstrom for insta death. then rush for whatever stragglers u wanna cut down if they happened to survive ur 10k aoe burst cc
Sheesh… that’s nuts… when they fix the buggy weapon swap that is gonna be everyone’s build. Run up on someone with GA switch to insta scream and lieterally just like you said…
Dream world??? Maximum DSP on VG is higher than maximum DPS on Great Axe… that is a factual statement. Have you ever used YouTube before? Video of plenty of people showcasing this.
