Void ore price plummeting - deflation - wealth tax ftw!

This isn’t an economic issue, is a craft balance issue. The amount of gold available in the market is way above the demand from crafters. In one tour to the north of BW I can feed all crafters with gold. Another issue is cascading low-end ores to the high-end ingots.

The deflation in NW is a real phenomenom, the only question is how will AGS fix it, if at all.

Its an econ issue, as supply of gold ore is greater than demand.

People mine to level their skill, which creates supply.

Perk bug fix and the fixed luck perk makes void armor worth less.

Meaning void ore is worth less because less people need it.

Deflation is a problem since week 2, and none of your solutions can deal with deflation. Now that Portal level 65 and OR are working, people have more gold, but it does not have anything to do with the prices of some products in TP getting adjusted by the market.

You are trying to attack many different problems with one universal solution. All these problems need different solutions, and others are natural phenoms.

Gold and plat are cheap because jewel crafting swaps to orichalcum at 150 lol.

The universal solution would work to solve deflation in gold prices, what we dont know is what would become the next store of value.

Gold prices will do that from alone since if there’s no profit made people will start to rather throw it away than to put it in the tp

i don’t support a wealth tax but there is something to be said that with the current economy both tannin and the higher tier rested tannin both sell for 0.01 gold.

the economy should probably be inflated a bit so that game elements like refining agents aren’t irrelevant as they are now. it would also put more people in houses which will only improve the morale of the player base for sure.

prices will never go up.

you want 1000 leather? one crocodile give about 50-70 pieces. just kill 10- 11.
you can farm any ressource +10k in about an hour and wonder why all prices go down to 0.01? hmm… we have infinite ressources…

they can make prices go up if they want. at one point in alpha you could grind lvl 40 mobs for about half an hour and get 2k gold just from drops. tannin was about 7g per.

cooking stuff got more expensive on my server, been cooking much. got alot higher, but you have to wonder, especially since opr brings so much money on the table

One reason why prices go down is oversupply which is generated by everyone leveling their harvesting skills.

The clearest example of these are iron hides.

So, removing harvesting skill levels altogether is would be helpful for the economy.

And finally the results of the duplication exploits start to hit the market. Since everybody that cared is already in full voidbent, there’s no longer as much demand for the ore/ingots.

You gotta be kidding if you think that’s a problem. The common people, who didn’t exploit the game, finally start to come closer to reaping the benefits that were reaped by the exploiters.

Let the economy function as it should: supply and demand.

Void ores are just an example of deflation, can you name a single item for which the price is rising?

I couldn’t seem to find a single sliver of adderstone listed for sale in Everfall last time I checked. At least in my server there doesn’t seem to be shortage of money and prices for some items have risen a bit.

In regards to slivers of adderstone, saw them for 500, then for 1000 and then none left for sale. That was on the course of a week roughly.

Skinning is the fastest harvesting skill to max. Iron hides are a byproduct of farming legendary hides, so their price reflects that.
All raw resources that are selling for .01 are a byproduct of rare item farming that is vastly oversupplying their demand.

Correct - the harvest skill levels are only harmful to the game.
