I will start off by saying that I am a 3D artist so I probably judge a little more harshly on the look and quality of the models in this game than most people. I honestly have no complaints about any models other than the Voidbent constitution set. It just looks off. The chest is extended out further down than the pectorals which is where armor usually extends outward. The spikes on the shoulder are awkward and bent (I guess that’s the bent part of Voidbent) and the bottom half of the breastplate just looks strange and acts like cloth when you run. No offense to whoever made it, but it doesn’t look like it should be end-game gear. I know that in future updates there will be better stuff so they have to save some of the best features for that, but it could have been done so much better. Even just some sort of aura around it could be so cool. I’ll leave it up to you guys to decide what you think could be done better with it. Just wanted to share my thoughts.
its odd endgame armor only has 1 style option (per weight class atleast i guess)
NW the voidbent armour cloth skirt is stuck to the character like glue no cloth animation.
showcase of cloth animation:
when the character moves the cloth has its own animation:
cloth skirt isn’t stuck like glue to the armour.
All the armor models I have seen look very basic and unimaginative. I can’t play music but I can tell when a note is sour. The starter gear has more context than the stuff I see that is supposed to be legendary. I’m guessing the artists who made the starter gear have left and they found some interns to replace them.
A LOT of the amor looks silly. The designers don’t know what they want the game to be, so they have no clue which direction to take the armor styles.
they should hire hidetaka miyazaki, the one that made souls like gameplay
I like armor that looks practical, “reallistic”, not the overblown high fantasy clown suits so many games have.
