Wait what? Why are there other fixes being done?

`Continuing the discussion from [Notice] Disabling Leaver Penalty for Game Modes (Outpost Rush and Arenas):

I am confused. What exactly is your top priority at the moment? Just revert the azoth back to last patch when we were limited to clicking 1 at a time. How is this so difficult? It’s putting parameters on a client input.

Beginning to see what’s going on here. You made crafting way too potent and instead of pulling the whole update you scramble and just pull azoth. To buy more time to figure out what went wrong with the perk bucket percentages.

I crafted 40 fire staffs the morning of the update and made 6-7 BiS firestaffs. I have prolly made 100 since the first morning and not a single bis. It’s been hotfixed back to the pre-patch rolls again.

They quickly reverted to the old crafting perk pool percentages and made up the excuse about azoth to make sure people didn’t spam roll their huge stockpiles and come to the realization nothing had changed. It was changed. It was just way over tuned and quickly removed. Azoth is just to keep people from finding out they messed up. If you can only roll 22 at a time you can’t really conclude much about the “updated” perk bucket percentages.

To clarify; I was prolly one of the first people to pull up to the arcana stand that morning. Logged on and clicked a couple OPR boxes and decided to wait to pop the rest till I crafted some fire staffs. The servers came up like 10 mins early, so I was prolly walking up to the arcana stand in my full set and food popped at 6:59am. I am sure they changed something. One of my first 2 full sets had more legendary rolls than epic. It was not just a run of good luck. I had almost no bad rolls on any of them. Made 2 identical Keen/refreshing move/imp fireball and then a vicious/refreshing move/imp fireball in no more than 6 rolls during one run. I think I salvaged 2 of the 14-15 legendary rolls. 1 - 2 had a pve bane perks. The rest were keen/vicious/keenly empowered/refreshing move/lifesteal (I was rolling them all with imp fireball).

I can’t even get a legendary in 20 fire staff rolls now, and the ones I manage to make clearly have the old perk bucket percentages. AKa impossible to roll anything even remotely close to BiS. If you asked me to estimate, based on my personal experience; the overall chance of rolling a BiS arcana weapon went from 15-25% in the short window after they dropped the patch, back down to under 1%. It’s was most apparent in the epic rolls, Every single epic that I made that morning had vicious or keen. When clicked on the TP and hit the weapons tab there was only like 5 epic staffs on my list. When I had just made like 25 epic fire staffs. That’s when I noticed they were all in stacks of 3-5. The vast majority of the epic 2 perk fire staffs were keen/imp fireball or vicious/imp fireball (I was forcing the imp fireball for all of them). Roll 20 fire staffs now, you get 18 epics with perks all over the board.

But all you really need to look at how long it’s taking them to “fix” azoth and you’ll see. It was never really about salvaging whole stacks of azoth. It’s really about the way probability is formulated in new world. Remember when they “slightly” buffed supply chests? But instead of slightly buffing them, they made them all drop 10-15 of each refining component (flux, sandpaper, tannin, ect.).

Just thought I would fill you guys in on what’s really going on with azoth vials.

Are you guessing or do you have a solid and undeniable proof?

I did not screenshot anything. This is just my experience. I went on to sell the majority of my crafting mods to buy orders. Because if it was that easy to craft bis the crafting matts, at least the fireball craft mods and glittering ebony were about to tank hard. I put the staffs I made on the TP for a fraction of the going price (like 95k-115k) thinking I needed to cash in quick before people realized how easy crafting was now. I was fully convinced. But no, I have no undeniable proof.

We haven’t noticed the percentages really being worse. We have been doing azoth runs and still doing company roll party. Not to say that you are wrong, but i’ll keep an eye and reply back if it seems off tonight! :revolving_hearts:

In the last couple days, i have gotten several legendaries from casts though, if that says anything :x

Was anyone online and got right to crafting when the update dropped?

I know one of ours crafted a crap ton of hatchets on day one, i’ll have to ask if it’s changed noticeably.

This was not a run of good luck lol. I went into it telling myself if I made one single BiS fire staff I would finish that set and be done. I made 3 BiS staffs on the first set. Then 4 more on the next set.

Like I said. hardly any bad rolls too. The “bad” rolls were like lifesteal/vicious/fireball or shrinking/keen/fireball. I remember I made 3 that were shrinking nature/keen/fireball. Kept a vicious/keen/fireball for myself, but I should have kept the vicious/keenly empowered/fireball one that I made right after equipping.

Will they be transparent? Tune in!

Kinda can’t live with myself knowing I had the materials to make 200 fire staffs when I was pumping out a BiS every 5-6 crafts and I didn’t keep making them lol. I just figured I had just made 7 BiS firestaffs, I will go sell these quickly. Besides any more that I make will just be competition for these ones. Was expecting to see the market flood with them tbh lol

Would that make any difference? Same as with the mass reports bans, people has posted proof that the system is rigged and… we still have mass-reports perma-bans, unless you are some kind of well known streamer that can talk shit and you get unbanned.

Back on topic, I crafted 5 leggos out of 12 rings, not bad, I always do dozen batches because of reasons and last roll pre-patch was 1/12, 2/12, 1/12 and now I got 4/12 with a very decent roll.

BTW, rolled a ring with leeching, void and disease that is making me cream my pants.

100% agree, I havent been crafting as much or as early, but i was running dungeons and was getting bis jewlry/weapons left and right, then the azoth fix happened. I think maybe i got off for the night and the next day i did dungeons again but with far different results. We already had terrible gold drop rate, but if you got gold it was likely bis. Whenever they announced they were “fixing” the gold drop rate, they mustve also fixed the bis rate as well. Because i mustve ran the last 14 dungeons and no where near bis items. All near bis perks and much less common than before. More golds but way less bis items. I do think they realized they over tuned the numbers and made up some bs about azoth to slow people down until they could modify the percentages.

I really didn’t read much of the text after this part, that’s just speculation at this point unless someone proves it. On the contrary my company crafters have been getting BiS items every crafting session so idk how to believe OP. We aren’t even territory owners.

Same here, our crafters have been knocking it out of the park this whole time. Soon as azoth was disabled we rolled our sleeves up and got azoth the good old fashioned way and went right back to work :revolving_hearts:

Yea that’s my point, i’m just a rando and crafted about 40% leggos on a single batch. Maybe it was even better after the azoth thingy but I can’t complain as things are right now.

I gotta agree with OP. Crafted 30 of the surgeon timeless light pants from the event.

1/30 legendary. Severely disappointed. All that farm and grind to salvage it all

That’s interesting. Was this right after the medley patch was introduced? Because I was up that morning right when it went live I was online and crafting fire staffs. Like you said, there was hardly any bad legendays. If it rolled 600 GS it was BiS 75% of the time.

Its been hard for me to forget. Sometimes I wonder if it was just a string of really really good luck. But from my experiences It’s hard for me to accept that. I have crafted roughly 500 fire staffs before this. So I had a pretty good idea about what the rolls were like before this patch dropped. And have rolled about 100 since day 1 the mid summer medley. Hard to describe the difference. I was rolling BiS back to back. Was so convinced they had over tuned it and made it (at least fire staff) waaaaay too easy. That I went and sold most of my crafting matts to buy orders and listed the extra BiS fire staffs for ~100k each. If they made it that easy to make them the market was going to be flooded in no time was my thinking. I logged off for a short time and when I logged back in azoth was disabled and the perk tables (or BiS chance at least) were also hot fixed.

It’s been super hard for me in game. I keep trying to craft some BiS fire staffs again, cuz I see the super high price they are commanding. So I blow another 100k on it, get shafted lol. Blow another 100k get shafted again. I am chasing the dragon now. It will never be like that again, somehow I have to accept that lol. Or I’m going to be broke forever on this game. But maybe this next batch will be like patch day… XD
