So, if you are having problems with this game…
DO A NEGATIVE REVIEW ON STEAM
Make something useful so they fix the game!
that it’s the only way you can make them hear you, so go on!
edit: remember to BUMP IT so it’s at the top and more people see this
also remember that you can change your review when everything is fine!
Leaving a bad review simply because of a queue and not the actual content of the game is so dishonest and bad. I never trust reviews on Steam until a month after a games release, even then the ratings are so damaged from vocal outrage that it doesn’t matter anymore. The ones who cry the loudest are always the ones who act in bad faith. Please don’t do this. AGS will just use they’re performance metrics against Steam reviews and then decide to kill the game next week. What you’re doing has the completely opposite effect. It’s much more better to include queue times as part of the review rather than the whole review itself.
All that will accomplish is hurt the game. AGS are already hard at work trying to solve the bugs that kick folks out of queues, and they are releasing new servers and providing free transfers.
Encouraging folks to bomb the steam page with bad reviews seems petulant and unhelpful.
at this rate the game will die because they took a week to fix eu servers as they lost literally ~400k players - even if you dont tell them to review it will only take 20k to actually put the game to negative.
Right now ags is not communicating or even acting from what we can see, this is just gonna make the situation much worse in the long run.
The issue is easily resolved by creating a review saying you weren’t able to play with friends on the server you wanted due to a long queue time but you’ll be transferring from your low pop server in a couple weeks free of charge. Take off a star for that inconvenience rate rest of content. Done. Now you can play and leave an honest review. Let’s not be entitled children here.
Why would it be dishonest? There’s nothing dishonest in writing a review about a game that is literally unplayable? You’ve missed the entire point. How are you going to experience your precious content when you have no way to play the game that you bought?
Not only is the queues crazy long but when you’ve finally decided to place yourself in queue and started at lets say 6k, after 5h you’re kicked so you have to re-queue, then after 3h you’re kicked again and have to continue re-queueing throughout the entire day/night without getting anywhere.
If the game is unplayable it definitely deserves a bad review, end of story.
Your arguments makes absolutely no sense.
I’m not adverse to putting a negative review in based on my current experience (8 hours on steam / about 1.5 actually playing in game). However, how would they fix it without fundamentally changing it, server caps can’t grow too much and I wouldn’t want near empty servers if they opened a bunch more so I’m not sure what a “fix” looks like.
I do hope it sorts itself out soon though, my patience is low and I will probably leave if this continues for more than week.
