Freemium is P2W by your standards as is RMT. Look from business perspective (which are essentially predatory practices) and then freemium becomes logical way to go. Because business decides their monetization model, not you.
There was more concise information about all that, but that is sufficient to put whole future of AoC under serious scrutiny.
Would pve players run expeditions if there were no rewards involved?
If not, why do devs and pve players not get that pvp players have the same motivations for progression of their character through their preferred content format?

No is not… F2P doesn’t necessarily makes a game P2W. you can sell cosmetics or introduce a “pass” that rewards cosmetics and stuff that don’t give advantage.
You can. But business maximize profit or as you said it yourself - predatory practices. Thats why they include direct bonuses to the gameplay itself without any tangible risk.

You want to finish with the gold sellers and the P2W it’s easy AGS needs to stop with the BIS stuff and having 5 freedom or 5 resilience just 1 should be enough like that easier to counter the equipment out of prices and vendors because 1 piece of each should be easier to get than 5 as with BI weapons it shouldn’t be a plus.

When you crafting something with legendary components you shouldn’t need houses, food, gear and trophies to get legendary gear, all of those items should only be useful if you want to have a chance of getting legendary with lower components but even when you put all the components in legendary you are not even sure to have legendary more than the assets are random which encourages the sale of gold seen at the number of try that you have to do to have something good.

No end game PVE worth it. Pvp gear grind for 1 extra perk ranges from you can get 2 perk armor on day 1 of playing vs…depending your playstyle and time… months to get BIS 3rd perk. Its dumb…and companies instantly get BISd player from taxes and then noone can win…like the entire PvP system of NW is so broken. PvP only works on EVEN GROUND. Gear should be chosen in PvP, everything about it. Not have to get it in drops. Then it becomes skill only. Why create a game for the 1% of at home workers or unemployed to dominate
Then every MMO is a p2w game.
Especially so in NW.
Buy gold with real money. Buy gear with gold.
yeah, of course… but we tend to turn a blind eye with some mmos just because is almost impossible to eliminate illegal RMT without destroying the game’s economy or heavily restricting p2p trading
Throne and Liberty if good will destroy NW especially since its free to play. I think most of us still playing NW are just playing because theres nothing out really right now

I stopped playing New World this week, just nothing to do once you’re at end game and capped. Everything gets repetitious and boring quick. I took a break to try Black Desert… there’s a lot to do in that game.

yeah nw is done. Theyll take both side of new worlds player base
Put Elon at the head and they will works night and day 
Same thing was said about Lost Ark last year. People were absolutely certain Lost ark would be the final nail in the coffin and the game was predicted to shut down by November ‘21’, December '21, Jan '22, Feb '22… There were constant posts about it, and how the game was going to die, etc…
Not knocking Throne and Liberty at all, but that game has things that some of us dont like. I can only speak for myself, but i know others that agree.
