Don’t forget to check the Known Issues List to see if your issue is currently being worked on by the dev team.
We also have existing workaround for some issues that you can find here:
What is your character name in New World: Deep Blu3
What server/world did you experience your issue on: Manghalour
Describe the issue you are experiencing: During tonights war against Covenant in Cutlass, the enemy faction coordinated an attack using ice gauntlets that caused the server to lag to the point where all other player animation broke and everyone appeared to be standing still. Player’s visual locations and actual locations stopped matching up, and the game turned into a “slide show”.
Is this a bug or an exploit: Since this required a group of 50 players to coordinate to lag the server to the point of freezing, this was an exploit.
(if a bug) How did the issue effect your gameplay: Because we weren’t prepared for this, we lost the war and territory.
(if a bug) Were you able to recover from the issue: No
(if a bug) Please include a screenshot or video of the issue that you have experienced:
What are the steps to reproduce the issue as you experienced: Described above
Did this happen today? October 17th? My company lost our territory to this also and we heard they fixed it last night. Just curious if the fix did nothing and it’s still working on the 17th after the patch.
Amzon needs to fix this. this will destroy their game more than any other issue they. I was in 2 wars now were this … not the skill of their player base was the decider of the match.
It would be nice for them to figure out a fix for this or the POS people using this exploit will be all that is left.
Whether this is considered an exploit or not, it is something that needs rather immediate attention.
Strategies for war should not have to include how to combat or survive under lag that, when players intentionally cause it, can lead to players experiencing this lag for 10 to 15 minutes straight. This is not the playstyle any player of good ethics should wish to see in a siege setting.
AUS players in Hawaiki servers are exploiting this bug to win war, its hilarious that i watched the live stream on discord, and both sides of AUS companies abusing this as much as they can so they can win the siege.
This bug will lag the whole instance, if the enemy team use this bug in the flag, your whole friendly teammates will be counted at the enemy’s teammate, then it will let enemy team be able to capture the flag with only 3-4 players of their team.
Example: If you have 25 people of your team and only 5 people from enemy team in the flag, they deploy the bug, the enemy will be counted as 30 people, and then you lost the flag with blink of an eye.
Thats example above is what happened to my company when we tried to defend Wind Ward
they have already explained this is a rendering issue - the data for you to render and animate the players (friendly and hostile) simply does not reach your client, they are LIMITING that data - there is no LAG, please stop this nuisance.
I’m not saying it shouldn’t be fixed, neither I’m saying it’s OK that such happens - all I’m saying is, this is NOT related to lag or Ice Gauntlet, this is a rendering issue and they have already explained… maybe they do such to avoid massive FPS drops on low end computers (processor, mainly), maybe this is an issue or limitation of Lumberyard… they did not expand, but it’s not lag, and you can test it yourself by using the very Ice Gauntlet and dropping an AOE and you’ll see your damage being recorded normally, even when character models are not animating… and it seems to me this issue is more noticeable when there are around 20-30 people in a very small area - which is why we can only see this happening during a War and never on open world PvP, Outpost Rush or anything really.
